GlItCh in the game (William/Glitchtrap X reader)

Ch. 9: I trusted you

         You and William had been a couple for 2 weeks now. It had been going great....well....except for one small thing. William had been a little distant the past 3 days. It wasn't like he was ignoring you or anything, he just wasn't ever fully there anymore. His mind was almost always on something else. He would mutter things under his breathe, sometimes you caught him staring at you while doing so. When you first met him it might have freaked you out, now, you were just concerned. He's never acted like this before.

        You had decided enough was enough, you were going to find out what was wrong with William. You put on your VR and started Help Wanted. William didn't know you were coming so he wasn't waiting for you, after two weeks of him being there when you showed up it was weird to be on your own. You knew Will could sense if you entered the game so you waited about 10 minutes. When he still hadn't shown you guessed he went back into the code of the game.

        He had told you last week that when you weren't there he would go digging through the code, that it was how he learned more about his powers. He also told you if he went to deep that he wouldn't be able to sense if you entered the game or not. You're lucky though, William had taught you how to jump in and out of the game without him. You focused and pushed you soul into the game. You went straight to Wills room, deciding to wait for him there.

        As you neared his room you heard William talking to himself. You normally wouldn't eavesdrop but maybe this would help you find out what was going on. you pressed yourself against the wall just outside the room and listened closely. "Fuck, this is harder then I thought." William said. "I never expected them to get this close to me." William pushed his shoulder length hair back. You smiled, thinking William was just flustered because you liked him. 

          You were about to tel William you were there "This wasn't the plan." William growled out, stopping yo in your tracks. 'What?' you thought, staying as quiet as possible. "I just needed time. Not...love." William said the last word more quietly. "It doesn't matter." he said shaking his head. "I figured out how to get out, that's all that matters. Next time (Y/N) is here I'll take their place." he was just using you? 

       You were about ready to run, you stopped when you heard William start talking again. "They can...stay here...alone......forever." Williams voice slowly trailed of the more he said. 'No' William thought 'I can't do that. Weather I like it or not, I care about (Y/N).' William went to lay down. You stepped back horrified, thinking William was going to trap you in the game. Unfortunately, when stepping back, you tripped. Falling you made a loud thud noise and shouted in surprise.

       You stood back up as quickly as possible, getting ready to turn and run. Just as you stood up William ran into the hallway. All you could do was stare at each other, neither of you moved for a few seconds. William broke the silence "How long have you been here?" he asked you slowly and quietly, like he was afraid. "Long enough to know you plan and trapping me here and talking control of my body." you told him, William looked scared. "(Y/N) wait," he started, putting his hands up and taking a small step forward.

      The second you saw him move you turned and ran. "(Y/N)" William yelled, running after you. 'I have to do something, I have to make them stop running.' William transformed into Glitchtrap. Using his power he glitched the floor, it spiked upwards and in your path. You tried to avoid the upturning floor as best you could but ended up tripped over a piece. You fell onto the floor, your hands moving in front of you to brace your fall. You didn't hit the ground however, you stopped just above it.

       You were lifted up into the air and turned around, Glitchtrap was levitating you with his powers. "Pu me down!" you yelled at him. "No, I nEeD yOu To StOp AnD lIsTen To Me!" Glitchtrap yelled back, his voice distorting more then usual. "I don't want to there it. I know you'll just lie to me!" You said, thrashing around, trying to get out of Glitchtraps hold. "T-tHa-At I-iS n-NoT t-TrUe!!" Glitchtrap yelled his voice almost unintelligible. He brought you closer to him and looked you.

         "WiLl YoU pLeAsE lIsTeN?" he asked, starting to sound desperate. "No, I trusted you and you are planning on trapping me in the game!" you yelled with tears in your eyes. "I can't believe I actually thought you could change. My mistake for thinking a monster like you could change!" you growled out, glaring down at him. Glitchtrap dropped you, dead silent and a vacant look in his eyes. The floor went backed to normal. You slowly backed away, Glitchtrap making no move to stop you.

       Turning around you took off running. Looking back, Glitchtrap didn't follow you just watched you run. You looked forward and ran faster back to the main area of them game. Concentrating as much as you could you hopped back into your body and threw off your headset. You collapsed onto your knees, breathing heavy. After a few minutes you stood back up and Walked to your room, closing the door.

      You slid down the door and brought you knees to your chest. Your hands gripped your hair as you his your face and started crying. 'I can't believe I trusted him.' you thought. Your heart was broken, you had thought he loved you. "I should have known." you muttered between small sobs. It's not like this was the first time this had happened, most of your partners had just been using you. 

          But you had really thought William was different "Of course he's not" you said to yourself "He's a killer for Christ's sake, he doesn't know how to care about anyone but himself. That's how you fell asleep, against the door crying. William doing the same in his room.

I am so sorry I haven't updated in so long, and that the chapter is so short. I've been really focusing on my YouTube channel and my other story (which also hasn't been updated in a bit). I'll try and keep up with regular posting form now on :)
