First Lasthon fan fic, let's do thiss.

Luke's POV

I felt a drop on my nose.

I looked up at the gray sky and silently cursed it. I was still a few blocks away from the diner as the clouds began to unleash their tears. I started jogging and yanked up my hood over my soon to be ruined hair. The light drizzle decided to turn into a freaking hurricane of rain. I was now sprinting, the diner finally coming into view. I let out a small shriek as I ripped open the door, gasping for air when a voice made me jump.

"Did you just squeal?"

"Shut up, Calum." I grumbled pushing past the laughing boy towards the bathroom. After switching into my uniform I attempted to fix my quiff that was now flat. I sighed and stuffed my things in a locker then returning to the front.

Calum sat on a stool flipping through his phone. Thankfully, the rain was keeping people away. Not that this place was ever busy. Just a small diner owned by someone who rarely showed up to check on things. It wasn't all that great, but I got to meet Calum because of it so I'm thankful.

Calum was basically my only friend. It might sound pretty bad but I was okay with it. He was the only one that accepted me. When I told my family I was gay they wanted nothing to do with me anymore. I was forced to move into a small apartment and get a job at the diner where I met Calum. We clicked instantly over our taste in music, but we're complete opposites besides that. I was shy and quiet while he's loud and obnoxious. As far as looks go, he was pretty attractive.

The dark boy's eyes flicked between the unwashed bar and his phone. After a few minutes of contemplating he let out a sigh and started wiping the bar down. I grabbed a broom from the back and began the exciting task of sweeping the tiled floors. Calum turned on the radio so it quietly played in the background. Moments went by with us cleaning half assed when he suddenly cranked up the volume. "Uptown Funk" started blaring through the speakers.

"Oh hell yeah." Calum yelled and started shaking his butt everywhere. I laughed at his spastic movements and joined in, using the broom handle as my microphone.

This hit, that ice cold
Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold

I sang loudly, spinning around. I quickly tossed Calum our microphone broom for the next lines.

This ones for them hood girls
Them good girls straight masterpieces

I burst into laughter as he jumped up on a table and started body rolling. I dramatically slapped my hands over my eyes, obscuring my view from the sight.

"Oh gosh Cal please stop."

"Nah, I'm way too hot." The raven boy yelled. He winked at me so I started fake gagging.

Suddenly, the boy's dark eyes grew wide and he made a dive for the radio. I spun around to see two girl's about to walk in. I straightened out my uniform while Calum stumbled over the broom that had been tossed on the ground. It took me everything I had not to laugh at his horrified face as the customers walked in. Luckily, they were too busy trying to close an umbrella to notice a very red Calum running to the back. I chuckled at him, shaking my head and waited for the girls chose a table. They looked around my age, maybe a bit younger.

Although I'm pretty bad with any type of social interaction, I had my "waiter lines" down fairly well.

"Hi! My name is Luke. Can I get something to drink for you two?"

"Do you have, like, a no calorie low fat drink?" The first girl whined. I didn't really know if she was joking or not so I tried to make my answer less sarcastic as possible.
