"Actually, I do mind."
I sighed in relief, recognizing the voice.
This is and will be the only time I'm glad to hear his voice.
I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders. Hyunjin shot the men his iconic bored expression and cold stare toward the guys. The males scoffed and walked away.
"Let's go find a spot." Hyunjin grabbed my wrist, dragging me along.
~
After multiple comments towards me from guys and random girls hitting on Hyunjin, we finally managed to find a spot on the beach.
"Hyunjin! Unwrap the blanket somewhere else, You're getting sand on me!" I exclaimed.
Hyunjin scoffed before placing the blanket down for us to sit on.
"Your friends should stop spoiling you." Hyunjin mocked.
"You're the one who brought me along to a business trip in first class seats, bought me a swimsuit AND laid down the blanket for me. You're basically my sugar daddy." I reminded.
"I like that name better without the 'sugar' part." Hyunjin mumbled while I rolled my eyes.
I eyed the people who were swimming, a couple caught my gaze. They looked to be having fun, splashing water at each other like in those romance movies. I stood up and grabbed Hyunjin's wrist, resulting in him to look up at me.
"Let's go swimming!"
"But-"
"Hurry!" I said, using all my strength to pull him up.
"Y/N, Slow down-"
I couldn't hear the rest of his sentence as I threw myself into the water, forgetting to let go of his hand. I brought my head back up to the surface, Hyunjin's head popping up from the water a minute later. I laughed at his annoyed face as he brushed his hair back. Unconsciously, I admired the boy's face. My eyes followed the droplets that traced his face before falling back into the water.
"You're so done now." Hyunjin said with a psychopathic grin.
He's gonna drown me.
I'm so dead
~
"Your face was priceless!" I said before licking my ice cream.
"If I knew you gave all those girls my number I'd leave you to drown!" Hyunjin snapped.
"I was just helping! This is your chance to flirt with someone who isn't your work partner." I reasoned.
Suddenly Hyunjin's phone rang making me laugh.
"Seriously Y/N! They'll be calling me for weeks!"
I laughed loudly, Ignoring the stares of a group of men which happened to be walking beside us.
"I bet you won't be yelling at me like this when you get married with one of them, I better hear a thank yo-"
Hyunjin pulled me towards him, away from the hand of one of the boys in the group. I looked at the group with wide eyes.
"Have some respect. How immature." Hyunjin said before shoving his face only inches away from one of the men. "Try to slap her ass again and I'll bash your head open. I better not see a single strand of your hair touch her." Hyunjin threatened with a low voice, clearly scaring the boys as they apologized to me before running off the opposite direction.
Hyunjin's glare went back to his classic blank stare as he took my hand and continued to eat his ice cream, walking alongside of me.
"Your ice cream is melting."
~
"I guess this is the last day then." I stated, watching Hyunjin finish packing his suitcase.
"Yup." He shrugged, emphasizing the 'p'. "Don't worry, you no longer have to suffer at night." Hyunjin mocked.
I let out a soft yet awkward giggle, knowing well that I actually enjoyed it while it lasted.
"We should get to sleep. We have a flight to catch tomorrow morning."
I nodded in agreement, going to the washroom to change before heading to bed.
~
I sighed internally for the tenth time. The night was moving ever so slowly. Turning to my side, I could tell Hyunjin had already fallen asleep. I picked up on his little sleeping habit which was draping his arm over the side of the bed, where I happened to sleep.
Turning to my other side, I lifted up my phone to check the time, cursing at the fact that my phone was at full brightness. The time read '3:23 AM', I sighed and shut my phone off before putting it on my side.
"Can't sleep?"
I flinched, a voice surrounding the silence. I turned my head, seeing Hyunjin's dark orbs already staring at me.
"O-Oh yeah. I guess I can't." I mentioned.
Hyunjin got up from the bed with a low sigh. I sat up as well, my eyes unconsciously following him over to the coat hanger where he threw my jacket over to me before grabbing his own. I stared at him confused as he faced me while putting it on.
"Come on, Let me take you somewhere."
"Is this the part where you kill me?" I asked.
I knew it was too good to be true.
I die tonight. It's official.
"Oh great, my plan is ruined. Guess I'll kill you here." Hyunjin said with a frown before taking big struts towards me. I closed my eyes in genuine fear once I felt his hands on me, what I didn't expect was for him to pick me up from the bed and put my jacket and shoes on for me.
"You watch too many horror movies with Sehun. Do I really look like one to kill someone?" Hyunjin asked with a chuckle, before grabbing me and walking out the door.
~
"How'd you find this place?" I ask, closing the car door and walking over to the open grass field, admiring the stars.
"I've been here a couple times apart from business." The boy shrugged.
Don't need to flex your wealth like that.
I sat down in the grass, waving my hand over the tall grass.
"Why look at the ground when there's an amazing view above you?"
I looked up only to see Hyunjin staring down at me. I tried to maintain eye contact with him, knowing if I looked anywhere else, I'd be in trouble.
"You're blocking the view."
"Darling, I am the view."
I hate that you kind of are.
I pushed away my thoughts, staring at the stars as he sat down next to me.
After some time, I started to feel a pain in my neck so I decided to rest my neck for a bit. I shifted my gaze to Hyunjin who continued to watch the stars.
I think..
I think I love you Hwang Hyunjin.
