Hyunjin's POV
I unlocked the door to my apartment and walked in. I was greeted by Kkami, my dog.
"Hey buddy." I said, smiling at Kkami as I picked him up and carried him to the couch with me.
I turned the tv on and decided to watch for a bit while petting Kkami.
~
Finally checking my wrist watch, I noticed a couple hours have passed.
Shit, it's 2 in the morning.
I loosened my tie, deciding to get up and get ready for bed.
I reached the bathroom and stared at myself
damn I look tired. Not a good look for you Hyunjin.
I started to brush my teeth as my eyes slowly wandered my body. I didn't look put together at all. My eyes stopped at my chest as I remember the events at work.
"I appreciate it sir but no thank you"
How could she decline such an offer?
I continued to look at my chest remembering how she cried in my arms because I scared her.
Damn, I'm an asshole.
I made a girl cry, without wanting too this time.
I thought about how she held onto me because she was scared.
She smelled sweet, like vanilla.
I couldn't help but smile when thinking about her.
Ew Hyunjin, You sound like a creep.
I can't help it. She's just, adorable.
Wait?
Hyunjin, shut up.
I shook all my thoughts out of my head and walked over to my bed. Kkami was already sleeping so I slept on the opposite side of him. I continued to think of Y/N.
She probably dislikes me so much. She even took the stairs just to not be alone with me in the elevator.
I frowned thinking about that incident.
She's so different from the other girls. She isn't throwing herself at me like they are.
She's..
Different.
~
It was the next day and I was walking around the company building, my office is too suffocating. I was talking to the secretaries at the front table, not acknowledging that one of them were blushing.
As I was talking to the secretary, the door opened revealing an extremely attractive girl.
Kim Y/N.
I hid my smile and cleared my throat before turning back to the secretary, eyeing Y/N every now and then.
She greeted her friends and the other workers but didn't spare me a glance which did kind of hurt but I do deserve it.
Hyunjin stop, you sound in love with her or something.
That can't be possible.
~
I was now in my office. Things were getting a bit complicated and I just got even more stressed by the minute.
I really need an assistant.
My mind started to trail off and I caught myself thinking about Y/N again.
I wonder what she's doing.
Probably working.
*Knock knock*
I was forced out of my thoughts by a loud knock at my door.
"Come in." I sternly said, trying to look like I was busy.
"Um, Sir? I have a couple papers here."
My mood lightened up after identifying the voice as Y/N's, I allowed her to place the stack she held on my desk.
Y/N bowed and started making her way out the door. As she was leaving I watched her continuously pull her skirt down with her hands. I smirked, an idea popping up in my head.
"Ms. Kim."
She turned around to face me, her pretty eyes making eye contact with me.
I can die happily now.
Wait?
Stop Hyunjin. You don't like her.
"Be my personal assistant." I said, putting my elbows on the table and holding my head with my hands.
"Mr. Hwang, I believe I already said this. I'm sorry but I didn't ask for that position-"
I cut off Y/N. "You'll be paid twice as much than what you're currently making. You'll be able to leave earlier than the other workers other than overtime. And, We'll be able to get a uniform your size." I laid back in my chair with a smirk as she thought.
It's a great offer, why would she reject?
"Fine."
I smiled, knowing I won.
"Alright go get me coffee then." I commanded.
I could tell she wanted to roll her eyes but she didn't. She forced a smile and asked how I drank my coffee. I asked for an americano and with that she left. I felt a sudden boost of energy and started to work on some stuff.
~
It was now lunch break. I decided to go check on the workers and of course the first thing I saw was Y/N and her friends talking. Sehun threw his arm around her shoulders and brought her closer to him.
Are they dating?
No, they met yesterday.
What if they knew each other before that?
She would tell me though when I was teasing her.
No, They aren't dating.
Right?
Ugh, What is this feeling?
It's almost like anger and sadness.
Jealousy.
But why would I be jealous?
I don't even like her.
I just like messing with her.
Right?
I shook all the thoughts out of my head and noticed that Y/N was no longer at the table. I sighed, looking away from the group. As I was walking I bumped into someone, I caught them and held onto their waist. looking down, I realized it was Y/N. I chuckled at her clumsiness, helping her stand up straight. She immediately started bowing in apologies. I held my hand in front of her, signaling her to stop.
"You just keep falling for me don't you Ms. Kim?" I said with an amused smile on my face.
"It was accidental sir." She said, protesting.
"Well at this rate, I don't know if it's the uniform being hard to move in or if it's just your clumsiness. Unless of course, you're doing this on purpose to grab my attention." I said, bending down to Y'N's level and resting her chin on my finger.
Her face started to turn red and I laughed. "I'll make arrangements for your little work attire issue tomorrow." I said.
I finally stood up straight and stepped back. "Continue your break Y/N, It's limited." I winked at her and left.
Shit.
How unprofessional of me.
Oh well.
