Why is he literally everywhere?
Hyunjin handed me a black dress. I turned around, hovering it over me as I looked at myself in the mirror. I stared at it in awe. The dress was indeed beautiful, it was quite elegant and definitely out of my budget. I turned back around, about to say something until Hyunjin cut me off once again.
"I just happened to be passing by and couldn't help but notice you all suffocating the girl in rather hideous dresses. I agree that a girl with a face like hers could make a dress as awful as these look good but I believe an outfit should be just as gorgeous as the person wearing it. I have already bought the dress and I expect to see you in it at the gathering." Hyunjin said in one breath before bowing and walking out.
Did he just call me pretty?
"Did he call you gorgeous?" Chaeyoung asked.
"I've never once heard such a compliment leave his mouth. He's quite passionate about your beauty Y/N." Jisoo said.
"I hate to agree with Lisa but I think he is attracted to you." Sehun cringed.
"I'm SO texting Jennie about this!" Lisa sang.
I spun myself around and took one last look of the dress, admiring the smallest details. My mind went back to Hyunjin's words as I blushed.
"Ugh, it kills me to say that Hyunjin really knows his fashion." Chaeyoung grumbled.

Hyunjin's POV
The party had finally started and people were crowding the venue quickly. I stood next to my parents, engaging in small talk while I waited for my 'date'.
"Hyunjin, Whose that? Somebody you work with?" My mother questioned.
I turned around, about to identify the person she saw until something caught my attention.
An angel on earth?
Nah, her dress is too dark for that.
A group of 4 walked in together, Y/N being along side of them. We made eye contact for a minute. As cliché as it is, It felt as if time stopped. It was like she was sucking me into her gaze, My eyes struggled to look away.
"She's very pretty" I heard my cousin mumble as she gossiped with my mother.
I cleared my throat, excusing myself from my family and walking towards the girl. Finally making it over to the group, I greeted each of them before meeting eyes with Y/N. Bowing down like a prince, I extended my hand out toward her. "My family is waiting."
Y/N nodded to herself before holding my hand, I instead linked our arms together as I led the nervous girl to my parents.
"Don't you think I'm a bit overdressed?" Y/N whispered, yet loud enough for me to hear.
"You look gorgeous." I stated.
"Why are you treating this like we're a couple of royalty?" She asked.
"Because right now, we are."
I stopped walking, creating enough distance in between my family and the girl.
"And who is this, Hyunjin?" My mother questioned with a smile.
Y/N untwined her arm from mine before bowing down. Upon standing straight again, she introduced herself and shook hands with my mother and cousin.
"Y/N, This is my mother and cousin, Yeji." I informed.
I shifted my gaze from Y/N to my mother. "Y/N is my date this evening." I answered my mother's past question.
"She's also my girlfriend."
Y/N's eyes widened as she secretly nudged me, I nudged her back in a 'don't-make-a-scene' manner before intertwining our fingers together.
"How lovely! You two look great together!" My mother praised. "Well, it is said that pretty people last a long time together." Yeji joined, winking at us both.
"We're going to go greet her friends properly." I told. My mother sent us off in an approving tone.
We continued to hold hands until we were with her friends and far from my mother's sight. Y/N retrieved her hand back harshly. "Don't you ever hold my hand again!" Y/N swore.
"Oh please, you enjoyed it." She scoffed and turned her gaze to the food on the table.
"Why did you even say that?" She stuffed her mouth with the tiny food hand outs.
"If I didn't, they'd marry me off." I ranted.
Y/N attempted very badly to hold back laughter. "You guys really do live like royalty."
I swept my hair back, annoyed. I noticed Y/N had caught that. "Should I do it again? Record it this time." I bragged.
~
By now, it's been about 2 hours into the event. I had left Y/N with her friends to accompany my father and tell him about Y/N. We had gotten into an argument because he didn't find Y/N suitable.
Flashback
"Who is her father? is he a big CEO?"
"No, She's actually my personal assistant." I stated in a monotone, already sick of talking to him.
"She's a worker?" my father asked in shock.
"Do you have a problem with such a thing?" I sneered.
"She's not suitable. Your future wife must bring profit to our company." The old man fumed.
"She's a person, not an investment!" I argued.
We went back and forth arguing before I stormed out.
End of Flashback
I found myself at a balcony, gripping at my hair in frustration. I heard a light gasp and turned around to see the girl I was just arguing about in front of me, about to run away. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back toward me.
"Where do you think you're going? you're my date, you're suppose to stick to me." I expressed, emphasizing the fact that she was suppose to be with me tonight.
"Y-You just looked a bit mad so I was going to leave you alone." Y/N shivered.
I scoffed. "As if I haven't realized that you've been avoiding me."
Y/N started to move back, attempting to release her arm from my grasp and create a distance between us. I shoved her against a wall, holding my hand behind her head to prevent injuries.
"Are you trying to escape me again?" I asked in a whisper tone, hinting disappointment.
The girl froze under me, she didn't form a single sentence but instead stared into my eyes. Unlike other times, I couldn't see the slightest bit of fear in her gaze. My instincts kicked in and without enough time to think, I closed the gap between our faces.
Y/N's POV
It's true, I was avoiding him and his family all night. But right now, I couldn't seem to run away. I didn't want too. He started to lean in and without thinking, I closed my eyes.
"Hyunjin! There you are!"
Hyunjin pulled back, annoyed to see his mother in a time like this.
I wish that's what happened.
Hyunjin didn't even listen to the voice calling out for him. He instead closed all the space between our bodies, throwing all his frustrations into the kiss. He didn't even care enough to acknowledge that his mom and cousin were now fangirling and taking pictures. Finally pulling back, he stared into my eyes. I could see the raw mix of emotion in his eyes, I just couldn't make out what exactly he was feeling. He moved his eyes from mine to his relatives.
"Am I not allowed to kiss my girlfriend?"
