Chapter 30 - Letting Go

Sophie's POV

" SOPHIE KASAMA MO BA SI JOE ?! BIGLA NALANG DAW SYANG UMALIS KANINA TAPOS DINALA PA NYA YUNG SASAKYAN NG WALANG PAALAM ! "

" HINDI KO PO SYA KASAMA TITA , TITIGNAN KO PO SA HOTEL BAKA NANDUN SYA , MALAPIT LANG NAMAN PO AKO DUN " sabi ko kay tita tapos nag end call na ako . Nagmadali wgad ako pabalik dun sa hotel .

Nasaan ba si sungit ?! Anong nakain nya at naisip nyang biglang umalis at magdrive mag-isa . Ayaw kong mag-isip ng masama pero I couldnt help na mag alala dahil hindi naman sya normally ganyan .

Pagdating ko dun nagmadali agad akong umakyat papunta sa room namin . I dont care kung marami na akong nababangga na mga tao , call it rude pero this is really important .

Habang paakyat ako I kept on dialing Joe's number pero hindi naman sya sumasagot .

" JOE !!! " I immedietely called out as I opened the doors .

I was caught in surprise , hindi dahil nandun si Joe but because of what 's in the room . The room is covered with photographs scattered around the floor leading to the side table . I noticed that the pictures scattered were pictures of the two of us . Hindi lang pictures yung nakakalat but also some stuff from the past . Memories filled the whole room , memories of him and both of us .

I picked up the letter in the side table where the pictures seem to lead me . Beside it was a picture of us during that cosplay convention when he kissed me on the cheeks . I opened his letter and started to read it .

Hey Pangit , I wrote this letter simply to bid my farewells . I don't have the courage to say it in person because I fear to see you hurting .

I told you before that to leave was a choice and I decided to leave because if I stay how could I assure that I wont hurt you even deeper than what I have actually done . Ayaw kong magtagal dahil habang tumatagal mas lalo kayong masasaktan .

' Joe ano 'to ?! ' sabi ko sa isip ko . Nagmamadali akong lumabas at sumakay sa elevator .

Sophie whenever I follow my heart it leads me to you and maybe because I found myself in you . You are the love that I thought only existed in movies .
Gusto kong magtagal Sophie , gustong gusto ko pero alam kong hindi pwede kasi mas magiging mahirap ang sitwasyon .

" Miss have you seen the guy that is with me a while ago , just this morning ? " tanong ko dun sa babaeng staff .

" The last time I saw him is when he went out and drove a blue car "

" do you have an idea where he's heading ? "

" no ma'am but he drove heading south , you can still catch him since he just left a while ago "

" thank you " . Sagot ko at nagmadali akong lumabas .

Pinasundan ko yung way kung saan galing si Joe . I saw him went out of a diner kaya nagmadali akong bumaba pero nahuli ako dahil paalis na rin.

Nagtry pa ako na parahin yung sinakyan ko kanina pero nakaalis na yun kaya tinakbo ko nalang . Ayaw kong malayo sya sa tingin ko dahil may pakiramdam akong may gagawin syang hindi ko gusto .

Tuloy pa rin ako sa pagtakbo simula nung nalaman ko kung nasaan si Joe . Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko at kung nasaan man ako pero hindi ako titigil hangga't hindi ko sya naaabutan . Paulit-ulit sa isip ko yung last part ng letter ni Joe

" Sophie I'm a walking storm . The more people I touch , the more I destroy them . I can't let that you'll be one of those people . And all I ask is that you never become a storm as well , instead , be a gentle rain . Be a rain that builds people rather than destroying them . A rain that bring endless smiles to people around her and touches everyones hearts until each one is fixed . Be the rain I onced was . Be the rain that I'll never will be - Joe"

I ran as fast as I can para maabutan ko yung blue na kotse ahead of me . Wala akong idea kung ano ang sasabihin o kung ano ang gagawin ko pag kaharap ko na sya but those things are nott important right now .

" JOE !!!!!!!! " I screamed as loud as I can hoping that somehow he'll hear it .

As I see the car aproaching the steep cliff , my heart started to beat faster. His death flashed before my eyes . As the sound of the explosing deafened me , I tried to close my eyes hoping that when I open them again this is all just a wicked dream .....

Sorry sa napakatagal na update . My apologies , naging busy kasi ako sa school hahaha . By the way kung may time kayo basahin nyo yung Fated Strangers , another story ko sya . P.S . sinong pupunta sa MIBF ?! Its my first time to go and I'm really excited na makita ang mga favorite authors ko !!
