Chapter 12.2- His Companion

Day 2

Sophie's POV

Its the second day of the school festival and everything is just doing great. I kinda enjoyed helping out with others.

We were arranging the tables and my classmates are already baking. Kami ang nangunguna sa fund raising kasi meron na kaming 3,000 and by tomorrow they will announce who wins.

"Yvonne pakitulungan nga ako dito sa mga boxes na to" tawag ko kay Yvonne. Inaayos namin yung mga new designs habang yung iba naman naglilinis din. Sila sungit naman nagrereherse ng kakantahin namin mamaya.

Dumating na rin yung hatsune miku costume ko kaya good mood na ako hahaha. Lumapit ako kay kila Via para malaman kung anong kakantahin ko mamaya. Nagpractice kami until sinabi ni Jomelle na mag open na kami. We started working and everything is doing great.

Pinuntahan ko sila Yvonne at Yumi ng biglang may kumalabit sa akin. I turned around and saw Joshie in there.

"Hi Sophie!" he greeted me

"Hi din, anong ginagawa mo dito?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Just came to check on you, and it seems youre doing quite a fine job around here" sagot niya.

Ang sweet talaga ni Joshie,lagi syang may compliments na pwedeng masabi para mapagaan yung mood mo!

"I really want to chat with you but I have to go kasi marami pa kaming ginagawa but I'll hang out with you later." paalam ko sa kanya.

" Nah it's fine, I want to eat too and I'm just gonna chill with my friends here" sabi niya.

"Sige tatawagin ko lang sila para makuha na yung order mo." umalis ako para utusan yung kaklase ko na kunin yung order ni Joshie.

My day ended happily hahahaha Walang masyadong inutos si sungit tapos nakipag-hangout pa ako kila Joshie. Kahit pagod ako I managed to enjoy my day.

I took a shower at paglabas ko nakita ko yung message sa akin ni Joe.

[ Hey pangit meet me at the coffee shop outside your subdivision, hurry.]

Katulad ng sinabi nya I went to the coffee shop.

Nakita ko sya dun at nakita kong nag take out sya. He aproached me and dragged me to the park nearby.

"Hoy sungit anong kailangan mo?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Wala lang gusto ko ang kasi na magpahinga out here and since wala akong kasama I decided na magpasama sayo" sagot nya sa akin.

"Bakit sa akin ka nagpasama? Bakit hindi kay kila Xander?" Nagtatakang tanong ko sa kanya

"Tsss I don't know either so just stop asking okay?" sagot nya sa akin and i nodded in response.

"You want some cheesecake?"alok niya. I took it tapos may kinuha pa siya dun sa paper bag.

"By the way I bought your favorite drink" he said while handing the food to me. I smiled and thanked him. Ang weird nya ngayon kasi ang bait niya.

How often ba kami ganito ka peaceful ni sungit? I can't remember kung kailan kami hindi nagtatalo.

Most of the time we always start bickering at each other, arguing about small things and just start to hate each other. It kinda feels different that now were just hanging out, enjoying the cold air outside and just staring at the stars.

We talked about the things that happened, laughed, eat and admire the cold atmosphere and bright lights around us.

"Pangit pwedeng mag request?" bigla niyang sabi.

"What is it?" tanong ko.

"Sing for me, any song will do" sagot niya.

What the hell, hindi ako prepared.

"No, never gonna happen Joe! Magse-send nalang ako ng video na kumakanta ako. I won't sing infront of you, nakakahiya kaya!" reklamo ko.

"Wow saan napunta yung deal natin Sophie?" paalala niya. No choice ako kundi sumunod dahil kahihiyan ko ang kapalit nito.

"What song do you want me to sing?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Nakahiga sya sa grass kaya humiga na rin ako. Sinabi nya tignan ko daw yung langit and he said the night sky seems really cool. Hindi niya sinagot yung tanong ko but I agree. Ang ganda kasi and it's amazing just looking at the night sky.

See those little bright things in the sky? Sila yung lagi kong tinitignan nung bata pa ako. I always like the stars and I always dreamt of catching them" Sabi ni sungit habang nakatuo sa langit. Jusko wag mong sabihin na dadramahan nya ako

"Gusto kong kantahan mo ako ng kanta tungkol sa stars" utos niya.

"Twinkle twinkle little star-"

"Maliban sa twinkle twinkle na yan!" he said chuckling at natawa na rin ako sa sinabi nya.

"Eto na aayusin na po!" sabi ko.

Napaisip ako ng kanta at yung all of the stars by ed sheeran ang kinanta ko.

It's just another night and I'm staring at the moon

He was listening to every word I sing at tahimik nya akong sinasabayan. Nakangiti sya habang tumitingin sa langit kaya napangiti na rin ako.

And I know these scars will bleed
But both of our hearts believe
All of these stars will guide us home

He faced me at humarap din ako sa kanya. Nakita ko syang nakangiti pa rin at nakatitig sa akin.

Back through lamp-lit streets and knew
Everything led back to you

I continued singing hanggang sa sinabayan nya ako. Sabay naming kinanta yung chorus ng song and I was definetely blushing! Darn ang ganda ng boses niya!

Hindi ko mapigilan na kiligin. Whobknew na kikiligin pala ako dito kay sungit!

I have to stop this.

Masungit yan, pangit yan, monster yan, hindi dapat ako kinikilig!

But damn was my heart a rebellious little brat!
