The Yule Ball

Y/N POV

It was now the day of the Yule Ball. You, Hermione and Ginny decided to get dressed together. You were now all in Ginny's dorm, just hanging out. Ginny was playing on the Gameboy you bought her last year and Hermione was reading a little as you were trying to get your record player on. You than put on " Good Old-Fashioned Loverboy" By QUEEN and put on a show for your friends and  started singing.

"Are you singing just the lyrics or are you singing about a certain someone?" Ginny asked with a smirk and you just playfully rolled your eyes at her. You than pulled the two girls with you in the middle or the dorm.

You all started singing at the top of your lungs. You kept going on like this for about an hour. Eventually you all grew tired and sat down.

"So Y/N, how's it going with you and my brother?" "Still not talking." You said as you sighed. "I just- I just miss him you know? I have gone from hanging out all day and going to bed with him, to not talking to him at all."

"Hey Y/N, it's okay. He'll come around." Ginny said as she smiled up at you. "What if I just talk to him? Because it's also kinda my own fault, I just distanced myself from him after he kissed Angelina." "Maybe you should, if you can, just take him alone with you for a moment, and just talk about things. Maybe you should tell him how you feel about him." Hermione suggested.

"No way that I'm gonna do that." "But Y/N, we all know that he feels the same about you." "How can you be so sure about that? What if he doesn't. I don't wanne lose my best friend over some stupid feelings." "Y/N, listen to me! I am about one hundred percent sure he likes you too! For Godric's sake he is head over heels for you. I don't think that you've noticed, but for the past month when you haven't been talking, do you know how many times I caught him looking at you? And he wasn't just looking like he looks at everyone else, he had that look in his eyes." Ginny said as she smiled at you.

"Alright, I'm gonna tell him." "After tonight you're gonna be my future sister-in-law." Ginny squealed excitedly. "Anyways, we should be getting ready right now, the ball starts in about two and a half hours." Hermione said and the three of you started getting ready.

You all than did each others hair. "Y/N? Can you maybe do my make up?" Ginny asked in a rather shy tone. "Of course Ginny. Come here." You said as she sat down on your bed and you grabbed your make up bag. You than took a chair and sat in front of her. "Can you make it like, natural? Or something that matches my dress?" "Yeah sure." You said as you smiled at the girl.

You than used a soft pink color for her eyes and did some eyeliner. "Voila, I'm all done." You said as you smiled at her and held a mirror in front of you. "Thank you so much Y/N, it looks so pretty." "That's all you Ginny." You said and the girl blushed a little at your words.

Not much later Hermione made her way out of the bathroom. "Oh my God. Hermione, you look beautiful." You said as you smiled at her. "Ron is gonna be so jealous of Krum." Ginny said with a smirk. Than Ginny got into the bathroom to put on her dress. You and Hermione did your make up in the meanwhile.

Ginny than walked out in her dress. "Oh my goodness, Ginny, you're a literal goddess." You said as you smiled at the girl. Once again she blushed at your words. "Oh stop it! I look okay." She said in a shy voice. "Ginny you look way more than okay. Neville is a lucky guy to have such a beautiful girl like you next to him on the dance floor." You said as you smiled at her once more.

At last you than made your way into the bathroom and started to put on your dress. You than looked in the mirror, the dress hugged your figure just perfect. You than quickly did something with your hair and made your way out of the bathroom. "Oh my God, Y/N you look so-" "HOT! George is gonna be so jealous." Ginny finished Hermione's sentence as she smirked at you. This time you were the one that was blushing at their words.
