Y/N POV

It was a few days after the last task, and Cedrics death. I was a mess. But Luckily I had George. As cliché as it sounds, he was my rock. Currently I was laying cuddled up to George, my head on his chest, his hand softly running through my hair. He was reading to me, his voice soothing me and ocasionally planting a few kisses on my head, arm, neck, shoulder...

After a while I looked up to him. "Hey George?" "Yeah?" He whispered back with a soft smile. "Thanks for being there for me, I know I ask a lot and-" He cut you off with a kiss. "I might not really know what you're going through, but I can't even bare to think about losing you or Fred or Lee. And I don't think that you ask a lot, I could stay like this for days. " He said as he shot you a loving smile.

"The only thing that annoys me is that I start crying when you cry." He said as the two of you chuckled a little. "And of course I'm here for you-" He said as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and looked you deep into your eyes. "I will always be there for you." He said as he cupped your face and caressed your cheek with his thumb.

"I just miss him so much George." You said as a tear rolled down your cheek and a soft sob escaped your mouth. George than wiped the tear away with his thumb and pulled you in a tight embrace. You sunk into him and started crying a little more. "It's okay love, I got you." He whispered against your hair and planted a few soft kissed on your head. With that you slowly started drifting off to sleep.

A few hours later you woke up, but when you opened your eyes you saw that George was gone. You started to panic a little, because he never left without saying something. But not a second later he waltzed into the room with three plates of food.

"Hi my love, did you sleep well?" He asked with the sweetest smile as he walked over to you. "Better now you're here." You said and the two of you smiled at each other.

He than grabbed your hand and pulled you out of your bed. "I know you don't want to go eat with the others, but you need to get some fresh air." He said as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and cupped your cheek. "So I was thinking why don't we go sit somewhere around the lake and just have dinner there?" He said as he shot you a sweet smile. "How in Godric's name did I ever get so lucky to have you as my boyfriend?" You said as you placed a loving kiss on his lips.

You quickly changed into some fresh sweats and put one of George's jumpers on. "You ready?" "Ready." You said as you took his hand in yours and he placed a soft kiss on your knuckles. The two of you than started making your way over to the lake. You didn't see that many people, and you were very thankful for that.

After a while you finally made it to the lake. The two of you than sat down in front of a tree and made yourselves comfortable. George than took the plates back out and put them in front of you. "I didn't really know what you wanted, so I just got some of everything." He said in a shy tone. "George you grabbed all my favourites, thank you." You said as you squeezed his hand and smiled up to him. The two of you started to eat some food and talked about all kinds of stuff.

After quite some time the sun started to set and the both of you finished your dinner. It just felt like nothing had happened, everything was still the same and it was just an evening like the others. That was one of the things you loved the most about George. He could just make all the hurt and sadness dissapear by just being himself and being there for you.

"Y/N? You okay?" He asked as he catched you staring with a small smile spread on your lips. "Yeah I'm good, sorry." You said as you blushed a little. "I just, I really really love you." You said as you smiled up at the ginger. He took your hand in his and once again placed a soft kiss on your knuckles. He than laid himself down and stretched his arm signalling for you to lay down next to him, so you did and cuddled up to him.
