Chapter 12
Yui is now running in the hallways of the castle while battling Kise's guards on the way. She was in her yokai form but she's near her limit. She will collapse pretty soon but her determination wouldn't allow it. She has one thing in mind: save Lady Haruhi and retrieve the Hoshi no Tama. As she scaled the walls and walked in to a secret room, she found the Hoshi no Tama in its glory. She cautiously enters the room with her sword raised.
"You've got nerve to walk in this room alone. As expected of you, Nura Riyui." a voice said. Yui became instantly alert as a figure appeared before her. It was Tamazuki.
"You again! I should've known you're behind this. What are you doing here, Tamazuki? Why can't you just leave me alone?!" Yui screamed. Tamazuki laughed with amusement as his eyes scanned her form from top to bottom.
"Get the hell out of here, you bastard! I don't want to see your ugly face ever." Yui snarled and swung her sword at him but he quickly vanishes from her line of sight.
"Shit." she cursed and after making sure there are no booby traps, she snatched the Hoshi no Tama and put it in her pouch. She went next to the dungeon to search for Haruhi.
"Haruhi-sama? Haruhi-sama! Are you here? Say something. Haruhi-sama!!!" Yui called but she got no reply. So she ran fast as her legs could carry her and found herself on the throne room. She could sense a faint demonic aura so she assumed Haruhi can be anywhere in this room.
"Haruhi-sama? Haruhi-sama!"
"I'm here, Riyui-dono!" Haruhi called. Yui located her voice long before she sensed another evil presence. It was Lord Kise.
"Oh fuck." Yui cursed as she comes face-to-face with the evil spider yokai. He smiled evilly at her and sneered at Haruhi.
"You think this girl can save you, Lady Haruhi? You sure are desperate." Lord Kise chuckled. However, this didn't sit well with Yui and Lady Haruhi.
"Just shut your mouth, Spidey. I'm going to kick your ass." Yui said and poised her sword. She was about to attack when Haruhi stopped her.
"Haruhi-sama..."
"You're not going to deal with this jerk alone, Yui-dono. After all, I was the one who brought you here in the first place." Haruhi said and began to change her appearance. She transformed into a beautiful white wolf.
"Oh? So it's gonna be two-against-one, eh? Hardly seems fair but all right. I'll make sure I'll finish you off." Kise said and lunged at them. Yui's speed saved her though she sustained a cut on her right cheek. Haruhi landed on four feet and jumped at Kise with fangs showing. However, he backhanded her and she flew thirty feet across the throne room.
"Haruhi-sama!"
"Lady Haruhi, why do you have to do this? You could've been my queen. Why are you always try to avoid me? Hm?" Kise asked with mock pity in his voice. Haruhi growled.
"Why should I? You're the one who brought suffering to my clan and made my father left. That's why I will never be your queen." Haruhi replied. Kise chuckled.
"You won't fall for my charms that easily, would you Lady Haruhi? You're such a hard conquest, you know? You never make my life easier." he said. Talking to Haruhi made him lower his guard, giving Yui a chance to point her sword at the small of his back.
"Men like you makes me want to despise your kind even more." Yui snarled. She pushed her sword on to her enemies back. Kise yelled in pain.
"You bitch! You're going to pay for that." he said but Yui didn't allow him that priviledge. She immediately casted her fire spell.
