Chapter 5

The Shikoto Yokai left the guildbase. Yui returned to normal. The guild members began to ask questions. In the end, our heroine decided to tell the story. Lucy and the others fell silent.

"So, that's why I'm traveling. I need to find my self and discover what I truly am. Master, I'm... I'm leaving Fairy Tail." she announced. Lucy and the others were shocked but there's nothing they can do to stop her.

"Yui-chan, if you really wish to leave, then you can. I hope that you'll find what you are looking for." Natsu said.

"Thanks, Natsu-nii, minna."

So our heroine left Magnolia and continued her journey. Yui is on her way to the Hidden Leaf village. On her way there, she senses a presence of a yokai. She drew out her shortsword and scanned her surroundings.

"I know you're there. Show yourself!" she said. Then, a little girl with long, pink hair appeared. She's wearing a pink kimono with cherry blossom patterns.

"Oh? What have we here? A human. But wait, your presence...you're a yokai. Who are you?" she asked.

"I'm Yui. And you must be?"

"I'm Bon. Nice to meet you." the sakura yokai answered. Yui returns her shortsword  in its scabbard. 

"Hey, wanna join my Hyakki Yakko?" Yui asked. 

"Okay." Bon answered. The two of them joined together on their journey to the Hidden Leaf. When they arrived, they were amazed by the village itself. It's nothing like they've ever seen. All of a sudden, an alarm was heard throughout the village. Then, enemy ninjas appeared. Yui drew out her shortsword and kept Bon close to her. 

"Iku zo, Bon!" she said. They were looking for a place to hide when someone grabbed Bon. Yui turned around and attacked the assailant.That's when a young man with two-toned hair appeared and finishes him off.

"Are you okay?" he asked. Yui nodded. "This way."

They followed him to a secret tunnel where all citizens of the village are kept safe.

"You should be safe here. By the way, I'm Yuki Oikawa. And you are?" 

"I'm Yui and this is my friend Bon. What's going on? Why is everybody being evacuated?" Yui asked.

"Oh that. It's just a drill. We usually do that for saftey measures. So, what brings you two ladies here in Konoha?" he asked.

"I'm looking for someone who can help me. You see-"

"ENEMY ATTACK!!!" a ninja shouted. Yuki went outside and drew out his kunai. Yui was alarmed and told Bon to stay put. She drew out her shortsword and followed Yuki. It turns out that thirty ninjas from an enemy village appeared.

"Well, well. If it isn't the Ice Prince of Konoha. I assumed we won't be disappointed. You're quite famous around these parts." the enemy sneered. 

"Oh? Is that so? Then, you came in to feel the frozen wastelands' wrath. You won't go home disappointed." Yuki said with a smirk. All of a sudden, the enemies felt the change in temperature as they were slowly being turned to human icicles. They didn't know what hit them. Suddenly, Yui saw a man about to attack Yuki.

"Look out!" Yui shouted and jumps in. She used her shortsword to knock down the enemy. Yuki was astonished. He wasn't aware of the enemy about to attack him. The next thing they knew, they were swarming everywhere. Yui and Yuki are surrounded by enemy ninjas. 

"Oh great. There's a whole horde of them." Yuki said. Yui drew out the Fan of The Two-Tails and use it to amplify her wind magic.

"O great winds of the South, heed my call! Zephyrus!!!" Yui casted and a powerful gust of wind swept all of the enemies away. Yuki was amazed by the display of power by the girl. But after casting that spell, Yui felt weak adn she knelt on the ground while panting. 

"Whoa, are you okay?" Yuki approached the girl. 

"Yup. I'm fine. It's just I get weak after casting that spell." Yui explained. Yuki sighed with relief then notices the steel fan she has. 

"Nee, just out of curiousity, where did you get that fan?" 

"Oh, this? Hagoromo-Gitsune gave this to me after my training. Why the sudden-" Yui trailed off as she felt a presence of a yokai in the vicinity. She drew out her shortsword and her other half emerges. 

"You...you're not a human." Yokai Yui said. Yuki was shocked. Only the Nura Clan yokai possess this type of Fear. Could this person be...Nurarihyon's long-lost granddaughter?

"You... who are you? Only the Nura Clan yokai possesses that much 'Fear'." Yuki asked.

"I'm Yui. But that's what Ryota-Neko called me when I was little. I can't remember my real name. That's why I need help. I've lost my memories. I need someone who can bring it back." Yui asnwered.

"I see." Yuki said. Then a man with spiky white hair and a black face mask approached them. His name is Hatake Kakashi, the son of the White Fang of Konoha.

"Oikawa! Good work. Say, who's this?" he asked.

"Uhm.. Kakashi-san, this is Yui. She helped me defeat the enemy ninjas. I must say, she's quite strong." Yuki introduced.

"Nice to meet you." Yui replied. 

"Yui-san, the Hokage wants to see you. With your power, you can be an asset to our village. These are hard times after all." Kakashi said.

"Okay." Yui replied and went to see the Hokage. When she entered the office. she was received by a buxom woman with blond hair. 

"I'm Tsunade, Fifth Hokage of Konoha. Are you the person who helped Yuki?" she asked.

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Will you consider becoming a ninja for our village?" she offered. Though hesitant, Yui accepted the offer. She entered the Ninja Academy wiht the hopes that she will become stronger in order to face her greatest challenge yet: retrieving her lost memories.
