The Granddaughter of Nurarihyon

Chapter 11

A servant was running to and fro the hallways of Gumo Castle. Lord Kise has been watching Lady Haruhi struggling with her chains bounding her to the wall. He was rather amused by it. His despicable behavior didn't sit well with her and now, the first thing she wanted to do was to get out of this chains and kick some major spider ass. Sadly, her chains have been infused with a binding jutsu that is almost impossible to break. That's why she's baring her wolf fangs and snarls at the man in front of her.

The man laughed at her as he stepped down from the throne he's sitting a while ago and walked to her like a predator circling its prey. Haruhi's growling now, with every intention of ripping Lord Kise apart. 

"You need to stop struggling, milady. It's no use. No one will save you." he said and gave her a sly grin. Lady Haruhi snariled again.

"You can't keep me here forever, Kise. Someone will surely be on his way to save me." Haruhi said. Lord Kise laughed yet again, but the sight of his servant's troubled face made him stop. His look was grim when the servant told the news.

"Milord, an army of Ookami is coming this way. They are being led by a 14-year old girl!" he said. For some reason, Lord Kise felt uneasy as he walked to the balcony overlooking the lands. He saw a girl with long black hair and golden eyes that seems to pierce through his body. 

"My, my. Will humans never stop to amaze me? Looks like your cavalry has arrived, milady." Lord Kise sneered. Haruhi could feel that Yui is in grave danger. Lord Kise was known for being shrewd and manipulative. He's also a deceitful fighter who would do anything to win. Yui felt his yokai aura and was determined to bring Haruhi back. 

"Man, this castle is giving me the creeps." Jun said and shivered. Nakago was doing the same but Yui stood tall and proud in the frontlines with Yuki and Bon. 

"Yui-sama, are you sure about this? Lord Kise is a deceitful person who gets everything that he wants. You must be careful in dealing with him." Yuki advised. Our heroine didn't say anything.  All of a sudden, arrows flew in their direction. Yuki used his yokai powers to create an Ice Dome.

"Shit. Thanks for the shield, Yuki." Yui said.

"No problem." 

"Jeez... I thought we we're done for. Kakashi-sensei, what's the plan?" Jun asked. Kakashi was studying the map of the castle he managed to steal yesterday.

"It seems that the walls are heavily guarded, especially during the night. There's only one entrance and exit here. It seems this mission is suicidal. There's only a slim chance we wil make out of here alive." Kakashi said. 

"We must not give up. It's not the ninja way! Even if this kills me, I have to save Lady Haruhi." Yui spoke with pure determination that Yuki and Bon won't find anywhere else.

"Sasu ga Nura Riyui." Bon whispered with a smile.  

"So, Yui-sama, you wanna take him on?" Yuki spoke. Yui smiled. 

"Oh yeah. Iku zo, temera!" Yui said in a commanding voice. Yuki disbaled the Ice Dome and they charged at the castle. Lord Kise has never seen scuh fearlessness from a 14-year old girl. And for some reason, he was scared of the girl. It's as if fear has gripped his insides. At that instant, he knew he has to get rid of the girl. And fast. So he fetched his sword and went outside. Yui and the Ookami troops are scaling the wall. 

"Don't falter! Remember why we came here." Yui ordered. When she reached the wall, she came face to face with Lord Kise. 

"Oh? You're a pretty one. What's a pretty one like you doing in my castle?" he asked.

"I've come here to take Lady Haruhi back with me. So better hand her over to me. OR ELSE." Yui snarled.

"Or else what?" Lord Kise asked in an amused tone. But when the aura around her changes, his smiled was smacked off from his face. He was not looking at a girl with long black hair but a female yokai with two-toned hair. He swallowed hard. He knows that hair color all too well. And her eyes, they remind him of someone. 

"No. Nura Rihan? It can't be! You're dead!" he stammers.

"Chigau. Watashi wa Rihan ka janai. Watashi no na wa...Nura Riyui da!" Yui replied in a voice that resembles the commanding voice of Nurarihyon. Lord Kise couldn't believe his eyes. He is now staring at the granddaughter of the Supreme Commander of all yokai. 

"Nura Riyui. I never expected to see you here of all places. I thought the Shikoto Yokai already finished you off." he smirked. She smirked back.

"I thought so too. But now is not the time to chit-chat. I know you're hiding Lady Haruhi inside. Hand her over." our heroine spoke. 

"I'm afraid I can't. She's mine and I won't let her go." he said. Yui grimaced in disgust. She was gripping the hilt of her shortsword. 

"You disgust me. Treating women like property... I'll make sure you'll go to Hell!" Yui said and the fight starts. She attacked first and swung her sword at him but he dodged it quickly. He attacked her upward but Yui blocked him with her weapon. Lord Kise chuckled in amusement. 

"Well, well. You sure can fight. You really are Nurarihyon's granddaughter. But I'm sorry to say this though. This is the end of the line for you." Lord Kise said and slashed her. Yui managed to dodge but she got cut in her cheek. She prepares to cast a spell but Lord Kise used his webs to blind our heroine.

"Shit!" Yui cursed as she tried to wipe the web away from her face. Lord Kise took the opportunity and punched her in the gut and Yui doubled over. She fell down but comes back to her feet. He knocked her down with his sword hilt. Yui fell down again and was struggling to get up. Kakashi saw him and used his jutsu. 

"Raikiri!" 

Lord Kise turned around for a split second before Kakashi strikes him in the chest. The villainous lord flew thirty feet away from them and slammed against the wall. The jonin turned facing Yui.

"You okay, Yui?" he asked.

"Yeah. Thanks for saving my butt, Kakashi-sensei." Yui said. Meanwhile, Lord Kise was stirring and it made Kakashi alert.

"Yui, go find Lady Haruhi and the Hoshi no Tama. I'll deal with Kise." Kakashi ordered. Yui was hesitant but his look made her obey. Yui nodded in compliance and ran away. At the back of her mind, she has to find Lady Haruhi and the Hoshi no Tama before it's too late.
