I rolled onto the floor off the bed rather dramatically. "Kuroo! Are you okay?!" Beanpole quickly poked his head over the bed. Staring down at me.
"Yep! I meant to do that..." I laughed.
"Don't scare me like that.."
I jumped up and walked towards the bathroom as Beanpole groaned and flopped back onto my bed. I ran some hot water and tossed in a lavender bath bomb. "You like lavender?" I called.
"Sure." he hollered back.
I ventured into the living room to grab a pack of candles and lighter. After everything was set up I shut off the water and lights, revealing a dimly lit but romantic bathroom. I retrieved Stringbean and led him into the bathroom. "Really going for the best night ever cliché huh?"
"Why not," I grinned.
"We haven't seen each other... you know, fully undressed,"
"It's just a couple of dicks," I said bluntly.
"Kuroo!" He hid his red face.
I bust out laughing.
"WHY IS YOUR FACE BUILT LIKE THAT?!??!?!"
"LIKE WHAT?!" I proclaimed, thoroughly confused. He had a mini freak out just staring at me as I died of laughter on the floor.
"I- JESUS I- JDNHSINSHDISHDIJAHJAHAHAIHDIJDKA!" I burst.
"WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!"
"I DONT KNOW SHKJDNSI"
"WELL STOP IT!"
"I CAN'T!"
He began laughing with me too.
I was holding my stomach and crying so hard my face was red.
"THIS ISN'T EVEN FUNNY!"
"THEN WHY ARE WE LAUGHING?"
"I DONT KN-"
Dingdong
The dreaded doorbell rang in the middle of our bonding.
"Ugh." That really killed the mood for me, not that there really was one...
"Who is it?" Beanpole asked throwing me some sweatpants off the floor.
I quickly slipped them on, "Probably Bokuto or Kenma,"
"It's late..."
"Bokuto's a psycho... and Kenma well... Kenma is just Kenma," I scratched the back of my neck.
"Can we continue this later?"
I let out a deep sigh and smiled as I slowly put my arms around his waist. "Of course,"
Dingdong
dingdong
dingdong
dingdong
"Better go get that," He rested his head on my shoulder as I moved my hands around the small of his back.
"I guess so.. there's a robe in my closet if you want it, be right back," I solemnly walked out to the living room. As I expected there was Bokuto when I opened the door.
"HEY BUDDY!" he slapped my hand.
I pulled it back, "It's late," I rubbed my eyes to give him the impression that I was tired. As much as I loved him I wanted him to leave so I could have time with Stringbean.
"Yeah but- I brought beer!" he picked up a plastic shopping bag that was hiding behind the wall by my door and invited himself in.
"Why are you here?" he shut the door behind him.
"I have a couple roommates until Karasuno leaves.. and we have the day off tomorrow,"
"What about your roommates?"
"I have a kid named Kageyama over, and " He paused when he heard giggling from my room, "... and Sugawara... Kuroo who's in your room?"
"A Karasuno kid,"
"Ohhhhhhh the blonde beanstalk,"
"I don't know if that's how I would word it-" I suddenly felt guilty for calling him Beanpole and Stringbean in my head.
He walked over to the counter and set the beer down. "I'ma go take a piss be right back."
The bathroom.
The candles.
I panicked.
"N-No! You can't sorry!"
Beanpole slowly came out of my room... wearing my robe.
"Why not?" His head turned to Stringbean who darted back into my room.
I know he saw it.
"Why not?" he repeated this time a little more hesitant.
"My um..." I paused, "My pipes are messed up right now." I lied.
"You're acting weird, do you want me to just go and come back tomorrow? There's a sale on beer that lasts a while so I can always get more,"
"Yes I was a little busy so.."
Bokuto hugged me and whispered. "I know-"
I freaked out again and watched him dart out the door. Beanpole walked out again, still in my robe loosely draped over him. My eyes followed him as he meandered around until he reached the bag of beer. "Water's getting cold," He gestured to the bathroom. My heart. I felt a shiver down my spine as my heart tried escaping from my chest. "I-" I stuttered.
He slowly walked over to me with the bag in his hand, when he reached me he rested his head on my bare shoulder. "You smell like a candle," he buried his head in my neck and set the beer on the coffee table nearby.
"Really now?"
"Mhm."
I wrapped my arms around his slender body. "I want you to stay here."
"The water is still getting cold." he murmured.
I smiled and grabbed the bag as we walked with his head still leaning on my shoulder.
