We snuggled close together under the blankets of my warm bed. I could never get used to my sheets being empty after this.
We were both half asleep. He was so gorgeous laying there in my arms, I couldn't look away.
At first I thought he was callous, then I knew him as tender. Now I knew he was a mix of those things, a cold outer shell with a fragile inside begging to be emerged. Now I understood how delicate he really was. To him, it was easier to be distant then to be vulnerable. I just wanted to know why.
"Why are you staring at me?" He said in a tired voice, his eyes barely opened.
"You're just so beautiful," I moved my hand under the covers and lightly caressed his bare arm and held his hand once I reached the end of his arm. We were both shirtless with warm sweatpants on. He made a small noise as I rested my head in the crook of his neck, my hand still holding his.
"Kuroo," he whispered, "you're warm,"
I smiled and pulled him even closer to my body.I loved this so much I thought I was going to explode.
"I love you, Tsukishima," I whispered into his neck.
"I love you too,"
A shiver sent down my spine. It got better every time he said it.
"I want to wake up like this, you in my arms," I shut my eyes, not wanting to think about anything but this moment before I gave into sleep. "Kuroo," I heard his quiet, tired voice mumble.
"What is it, beautiful?"
"When I go back home will you visit me?"
"Everyday," I hugged him tighter, "goodnight Tsukki,"
"Goodnight Kuroo," he whispered.I groggily forced my eyes open to be met with sunlight and Yumeko in my face. The sun shone through the blinds, hitting Tsukki's pale face perfectly. His golden hair glimmered, he looked like a radiant angel. Yumeko was nestled next to Tsukki. "Hey kitty," I scratched between her ears.
"Kuroo," he whispered.
"Oh you're awake,"
He groaned and threw the pillow over his face.
"I want to go back to bed,"
I laughed, "no shit?"
He reached his hand out to smack me but I grabbed it and kissed his wrist instead.
"So, Beautiful," I began, "what would your royal highness like to do today?"
"We have practice,"
"After that,"
"Doesn't matter,"
"Oh but it most certainly matters to a high prestige such as yourself, it is my job as an accompanying lover to entertain the magnificent and you my dear, are the magnificent and beauty,"
He laughed, "you sound like a Lord of the Rings character,"
"If you don't answer me I'm talking like that for the rest of the day," I hugged him and decided that I also wouldn't let go until I get a worthy answer.
"Alright, alright!" He giggled. "Whats in town?"
"There's a drive in movie theater, we could borrow Bokuto's truck and lay in the back," I thought about it more, "there's a bowling alley, a planetarium-"
His eyes lit up.
"Planetarium?"
He nodded, "depending on how late you intend to be out we could maybe catch a movie if you wanted," he escaped from my hug and threw his hands on my shoulders. I moved my hands to his waist as we spoke. "Whatever you'd like,"
"I want to make sure you like it too though,"He was so considerate and kind. I don't understand the sudden switch once his teammates come around. Isn't it agonizing to hide your true self?
