It's 4:53 AM. If you happened to come to St. Bernard's hospital in London, you would find a eighteen year old girl in Room 206. She would be laying in her bed, TV on but the volume would be very low. The girl would be jittery after drinking four cups of coffee. She wouldn't have slept in two nights because she is nervous. So nervous, she is considering not doing what she is about to do. But she'll do it. She has to so that she can breathe. If you are confused right now, just wait. You'll understand soon enough.
That's me. I'm that girl, if you haven't noticed yet.
And my master plan? Well, that's confidential, but I might be able to let you in on a little secret.
I'm breaking out of the hospital tonight.
I know what you're thinking, "Wow, we got a real badass over here! She's breaking out of a hooooosssspital."
Okay, it's harder than it looks. First of all, I'm on crutches. I finally gained enough strength in my right foot to walk on it. So that means I'm not in that horrible chair anymore. Also, this hospital has the HIGHEST security you can get. Thankfully, I have insiders. Remember that nurse, Louise?
She's helping me out. I guess she was heartbroken at some point because she understands my feelings. The amazing girl is even packing my meds to take with me. I don't plan on coming back here ever again. Louise plans on telling my parents in the morning when everyone notices I'm gone. The whole plan is worked out.
Oh, and the reason I'm leaving? Well, you could guess.
I'm going to find Harry. Maybe we won't get back together, but I need an explanation. I need him, period.
I know what you're thinking, wow she's creepy! Or, she's stalker-ish! Or even, those meds screwed her brain up. Maybe it did, but who cares? You don't how it feels, do you?

I turn my head to the side to lean against the pillow to find the door ajar. A slim, stream of light cuts through my room and I jerk my head up. What?
I hear a crash from somewhere down the hall. I swung my legs down from the bed and slip on my bunny slippers. Another crash sounds from down the hall. It almost sounded like somebody was bang pots and pans together. What the hell is going on??
I rushed out of my room, coming to a stop when I noticed the sign hanging on the wall in front of me.
"MADDIE,
FOLLOW THE ARROWS!"
This night was getting weirder by the second. Was this a dream? No, it can't be.
Just to make sure, I have myself a slight pinch.
"Ow!" I gasped. Okay, not a dream.
The first arrow pointed to the right. I followed the sign all the way down the hall.
When I reached the hallway intersection, and followed the next sign that pointed to the left.
After several more signs, I stood in front of the main entrance of the hospital.
Should I go out the doors?
I'm sure whoever is in charge of this has everything sorted out, and I won't set off extreme alarm systems right now.
Lets do this, I thought to myself, then stepped out of the doors.
I released the breath I didn't know I was holding when I saw what was awaiting me.
Nothing.
Bewildered, I scanned the parking lot. Only a few cars occupied it, nothing in particular.
As I was about to head back inside to prepare for my mission, I heard the noise again. The metal crashing sounded from the very end of the lot. I snapped my head to the side and searched intently for a sign of noise.
I stopped when I noticed what was there.
The infamous Range Rover. Harry's car.
My legs took off, well I took off on my crutches, before my mind realized what was happening.
Harry was here, what I had waited for, for so long, was happening.
Harry was leaning against his car looking very "cool."
Though I figured he would be just as excited to see me as I was to him, I was wrong.
"Maddie." He stared at me icily.
I took a step back from the car, shocked at his reaction.
"You did all this?" I questioned.
He nodded swiftly, shooting me a glare.
"Then why are you being so rude? I thought you wanted to see me?" This wasn't the Harry I knew, and it was scaring me.
"We need to talk."
"No dip, Sherlock."
The light returned to Harry's eyes for a split second, and a flicker of a smile returned to his face, before he resumed his serious tone.
"Well, go!" I yelled, startling Harry.
Those green eyes rolled before they returned to mine.
"You didn't tell me you had cancer." He started.
Oh, that.
"You told me, you wish I was dead." I fired back. Harry's hard look softened, and he approached me.
"Maddie," he said as his hand reached out to cup my cheek.
I jerked my face away but he held it firm with both hands.
"I'm so sorry." He apologized, really seeming sincere.
"I know. I... Forgive you." Harry looked taken back by my statement.
"You do?"
My head bobbed up and down.
"Even after how rude I was?" Harry's mouth gaped open.
"Harry, you don't understand."
"I do-"
"Don't interrupt me." I smiled at my attempt to give him a taste of his own medicine.
"What I'm saying, Harry, is that I need you. I need you to be there for you. To help me. To laugh with me. To love me. And when you left me at the hospital, I was so angry. But more than anything, I felt empty. Like when you left, you had taken my heart with you. That's why I'm forgiving you."
Harry's emerald eyes were glassy with tears.
"I'm so sorry for everything, Maddie."
"I know," I responded as I lept onto Harry, nuzzling my head into his neck, inhaling his scent.
"Ahh." I murmured. Oh how I have missed this.
"I love you, Mads."
"I love you too."
