AUTHORS NOTE:
Okay first of all, sorry for te late update! I wrote this kick ass chapter and it was amazing so I go to publish it and it gets deleted. So i got really mad and was too furious to write it again but I wrote it so here it is(:
Harry and I sat on the miniature beach, cuddled together for warmth and just to be close together. It seemed as if we could never be close enough, that there was always too much space between us. All I wanted was him, therefore I just couldn't get enough.
"Maddie." I met Harry's eyes and was In awe.
Mesmerizing, I thought.
"Maddie." He repeated.
"Oh sorry."
"We need to talk."
Of course we did. But what could he say? 'Sorry I left you at Leeds, Maddie. Didn't mean it? It was cause I loved you.' Makes since.
"I'm sorry," He focused his eyes on a small shell resting in the sand.
"For what Harry?"
"All of it, just please forgive me."
"Well, yeah, I forgive you! But, that doesn't just make up for what you did!" I gasped, staring at him hard.
"I know, I just didn't know.. What to.. Say? Do? I'm not sure. All I know, is that, I'm a horrible.. Bad.. Mean person and I don't deserve to be forgiven." He joked, which caused anger to flare up inside me.
"Don't turn this around to some silly joke, harry! You always do that! But it's not funny! I told you how I felt, and you denied me! To make it worse, RIGHT after I had a huge fight with my best friend. Then, you left!!" I stared icily into Harry's eyes, then turned away in disgust.
I peered over at a seagull dipping in the ocean, then quickly snapping its beak up, full with dinner. Life would be easier to be a sea gull... Live at the beach, fly everywhere....
"Maddie," Harry sighed.
I didn't have a response, therefore I continued to eye the large bird flying of in the distance. I mentally waved to him.
"Mads." He repeated.
"Madeline, god dammit! Just-just look at me!!" His voice broke, breaking my heart along with it.
I dropped my head into my hands, the tears streaming silently down my face.
"I know." It was all Harry said, but for some reason, it was just enough.
•~•
When the sky started to bleed purple and red, Harry and I started to make our way back to Emma and Shane. Obviously, Harry knew that I forgave him because let's be honest. How could I not?
We strolled along the sand, hand in hand, saying nothing, for there was nothing to be said. You could say that we were at a plateau in our relationship, everything equal.
As we approached the other side of the island where Em and Shane were waiting, I stopped.
"Harry?" I questioned.
"Hm?" He responded, staring out at the waves.
"What exactly are we?"
There was a long pause as I waited for him to answer me. When he finally did, it was said surely and slowly.
"We, Maddie, are in love. And you can't put a title on that. So lets take what we have, and appreciate it because all I want is you. And I'm hoping, that all you want is me."
I met Harrys eyes, and a grin spread upon my face.
"You know just what to say, don't you?"
Harry winked at me, then grabbed my hand and continued walking.
