It takes him an hour to regret what he just did

He's tempted to chase after you, but knows he'll probably get a slap

Takes inspiration from romance movies, and turns up at your door with flowers

Fully expects you to slam the door on him, but you don't

Cries tears of happiness when you take him back

It takes him a week to realise how dumb he was

Isn't surprised when you ignore his calls, so he turns up at your work instead

Slips you a note apologising and saying that he made a horrible mistake

Asks you to meet him round the back

He's surprised when you actually turn up, and promises to never make the same mistake

It takes him ten seconds to realise he's being stupid

He grabs your arm when you're trying to leave and apologises multiple times

You stay, but keep your distance

He writes you a card and slips it under the door for you to read

That's enough to make you forgive him

It takes him a day to regret what he did

He spends the next day baking your favourite muffins and writing an apology note

Knocks on your door, leaves the food and runs away

He's too scared that you might get angry

You forgive him, but have to help him out of a bush he got tangled in trying to run away

When they do turn up, they have a box of chocolates with them
