When they cry

Dream

You think he's going for normal cuddles until he starts sniffling into your shoulder

You drop everything you're doing to comfort him

He refuses to move his face from your shoulder though

You kiss his head and rub his back until he's comfortable to talk

George

He tries to hide from you or pretend he's asleep

You coax him out, ready with tissues, blankets and cuddles

He stays pretty much silent, letting you talk about whatever to distract him

He falls asleep, and you make sure to wipe away his tears

He's snappy with you the whole day, but when you finally ask what's wrong with him, tears well up in his eyes

You're about to get mad at him for not telling you sooner, but helping him is more important

He asks for distractions

So you put on his favourite movie, grab snacks and let him cling onto you

You walk in on him cuddling Rat while crying

He tries to cover it up, but you're having none of it

You listen to him talk while making sure to wipe away his tears

When he gets too choked up, you kiss his face and remind him to take deep breaths

He will look straight at you with tears in his eyes and act like he's not crying

Refuses to admit it

But...after a few words from you, and a hug, the façade crumbles pretty quickly

He stops trying to hide when he's crying and lets you comfort him

You ask him if he's ok because he's a little off and then get scared when he starts to cry

You get so scared that you've done something

But he just opens his arms for a hug, complaining about whatever upset him

You listen to it all, trying to help as best as you can

Finds wherever you are and then crawls into your lap

You ask him what's wrong and he just clings onto you harder

Your shoulder might end up a little damp, but you let him cry and try your best to help

He falls asleep on you

Tries to make jokes about it, but ultimately fails

Then he tries to escape

You don't let him, for obvious reasons

You cuddle for however long he wants-which is a long time, but he's happier at the end of it

She calls you for help

You will literally run to wherever she is, still talking to her on the phone

When you get to her, she pulls you into the blankets and hugs you as tight as she can

You almost cry with her

You ask her what's wrong and she snaps at you, before starting to cry

She gives up on talking and just lets you hug her

You let her rant and complain, offering the best advice you can

She apologises for snapping at you later

He's very awkward while trying to ask for help

You get what he's trying to say, and open your arms for a hug

He mumbles "Thank you" into your shoulder

Ends up falling asleep on you

Tries to not acknowledge the fact he's crying

Until you point out the literal tears in his eyes, and then he tries to hide in a mess of blankets

You join him, reaching out a hand

He holds it, his whole body shaking, before you just cuddle him instead

You realise they're being unnaturally quiet, look up and then panic when you see tears

They rest their head on your shoulder, letting you run your fingers through their hair

You kiss them on the head and ask if they want to talk

They do, and you listen to it all
