Luka and Chloe left the theatre together and were now walking through Ms. Bourgeois' yard.
"I'll walk you to your door," Luka announced. She put a hand in front of him.
"Not with grams waiting to pounce." She joked.
"Oh, that's right." Luka laughed and Chloe followed suit.
"Yeah." She said at last when they reached the fence of her house.
"So.." Luka and Chloe said in unison. They chuckled awkwardly.
"Uh, you go," Chloe told him.
"It was a.. a really repulsive evening." He told her and they laughed. When the laughter died down, Luka glued his eyes on Chloe's with a serious expression. She gulped as she caught him leaning towards her, his eyes slowly closing. However, she pulled back and touched his shoulder gently so that he wouldn't kiss her.
"Uh, you know what? This is all my fault. I mean, I know I don't possess much power in the universe but I feel completely responsible for tonight, Luka-"
"No, uh... I pulled the pin, I tossed the grenade. I got a big old L right." He interrupted her and made a loser sign on his forehead while saying the last sentence.
"No, you're not a loser, Luka. You're very sweet. You're smart, you've got a great sense of humor. You're cool without being really obnoxious about it. You're very, very talented." She paused. "You've got clear skin, big plus." She added and Luka snorted.
"Thank you." Luka smiled warmly at her.
"No. Thank you. Things weren't so great for me in New York and they're kinda scary right now so...thank you." She told him quietly. Before Luka could respond to anything, Ms. Bourgeois showed up at the doorstep.
"Oh, um... I should go. But thanks for everything, Luka." Chloe said when she noticed her grandmother's figure.
"But-"
"I'm just going to pretend we kissed, okay?" She turned to look at him with a toothy grin as she walked towards the door. Luka laughed and watched her go up to the house. He stared after her with a smile, thinking. After a minute or two, he dragged himself towards his own house.

"Alright, here we are," Adrien told Alix when they reached her house. She didn't respond and Adrien sighed deeply."Alix, I know I've asked you already but, are you sure you're not hurt in any way? Physically, I mean." He whispered, concern lacing his voice. Alix raised her eyes to meet his for the first time that night. She frowned.
"Why- why are you so nice to me? Why are you helping me? We barely know each other and I- why?" She asked him. It was Adrien's turn to frown.
"Are you serious? I would have helped you out even if you were my worst enemy. When something is wrong, there are no restrictions or rules as to who we help and who we don't." He said and she took a breath.
"Besides, Alix I... Well, I wanted to help you. I mean, I wanted to help you because you're you, most of all. Wait! I don't mean that I'm glad that what happened actually happened, nor that I wouldn't help any other girl in a similar situation, of course I would, I'm just-" She kissed him to stop him from babbling.
When they pulled away, Adrien rested his forehead on Alix's and let out a long shaky breath.
"I believe it's my turn to pose the why questions," Adrien whispered and she giggled.
