______
You had gotten the job at a cute little ice cream shop in a campground on a lake. You couldn't be more excited to be working there, too. You had been dreaming of doing this for the longest time.

A few days ago, you had seen a really cute boy walking along the beach. The campground wasn't terribly big, and now, it seemed like you saw him all the time.

Whenever he came to get ice cream, on his golf cart driving around the campground, at the camp store, at the beach. You had to admit, you thought about him pretty often.

You had been getting caught daydreaming more and more often during work. It felt impossible not to think about him and his curly brown hair, tall figure, nice skin, and cute face.

One night, you were sitting on the beach by yourself and taking in the sound of the small waves creating by boats washing up on the sand, the boat motors and the sun as it was beginning to set and causing the sky to change colors, blue streaked with pink and orange clouds.

You were alone for about ten minutes before you heard someone coming behind you. You turned around, and there was the cute boy you seemed to see all the time. He was even cuter up close, you had to admit. He had the prettiest eyes you were sure you had ever seen.

"It's a really pretty sunset tonight, right? And then the ambient sounds of the water and the boats are like the cherry on top," he said, sitting down about four feet away. He was wearing an ivory-colored tank top and a pair of light blue shorts and then a pair of flip-flops.

"I, um... yeah," you replied, feeling awkward and flustered. Why was he talking to you?

"Have we met? What's your name?"

"I'm uh... Y/N. I don't think so."

"Well, you look familiar. I'm Charlie."

"Nice to meet you," you said.

"Do you work here? Like in the ice cream shop or something?"

"Yeah," you shyly replied.

"Oh, okay. I work here too, but my job's a lot more boring. I do pool maintenance." You nodded, feeling to shy to say anything. "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?"

"No, no, it's fine," you quickly said, smiling to let him know you were shy, not unwelcoming. "Where are you from?"

"I'm from Boston. I mean, I'm from New Jersey, but I'm going to college in Boston."

"Oh, interesting. I'm just from here."

"Cool." The both of you were silent for a little while. "Do you have any interest in coffee?"

"I drink coffee," you told him. "WIth enough cream and sugar."

"What about tomorrow?"

"Oh, tomorrow? Sure. When?"

"I don't know, what works for you, do you like morning, afternoon or evening?"

"Let's do at night. I work in the morning."

"Okay. How about 7?"

"Sounds good."

At this point, the sun was behind the horizon, leaving behind a colored sky.

"So did you walk or drive?" Charlie asked.

"I walked. Not far."

"I can walk you back," he offered.

"Okay," you replied, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear and looking into your lap.

"C'mon, it'll be dark soon." You both stood up and he began to walk you back to your trailer, walking on the side closer to the road. "So you're from here?"

"Yep."

"What do you do with yourself normally? Like, during the year."

"I'm a freshman in college, so classes."

"Oh, okay. I'm a junior. At Berklee. Have you ever heard of it?"

"Sure. Is it that big music college in- oh, right. You said you were from Boston. Interesting."

"Yeah. I'm studying engineering and production."

"I'm a biology major."

"You like science?" He asked, smiling at you. You nodded, as you were pretty good at it. "I hated it."

"I think I want to be in the medical field."

"Doing what?"

"I'm not quite sure yet, but I think pediatric nursing."

"I like kids," he replied. You agreed.

Way too soon, you arrived at your trailer. He made sure you got inside safe and then walked back to his place. You had forgotten to ask, you hoped it wasn't too far away.

You were definitely looking forward to coffee tomorrow.
