"I hate ice skating," you mumbled.

You were out of date ideas and you were trying to come up with things to do.

"C'mon. When's the last time you've been?" Your boyfriend Charlie argued.

"I'm so bad at it!"

"That's not what I asked, when's the last time you've been?"

"Like 8th grade," you replied, rolling your eyes.

"Well try it again!"

"Like I've improved!"

"Maybe you have!"

You both argued back and forth until finally you agreed and gave into going ice skating.

"Yay! We'll have so much fun. And we can go out for Chinese, I know that's your favorite," he smiled.

"That's YOUR favorite, Charlie," you said, smiling and poking him. "But I like it too."

Later that night, you both got to the ice skating rink.

Good grief, were you awful at this. You rolled your ankle twice and had to hold onto Charlie for dear life. He seemed to be a natural on skates while you were slipping and falling and stumbling and tripping.

"Y/N, are you ok?" He asked after one time you really hit the ice hard.

"I'm fine," you replied, getting back up with his help. You were sure you looked really stupid.

"Do you want to stop?" You hesitated. You knew he liked it but you were getting frustrated and you felt dumb and your feet were really cold.

"I don't like it," you admitted.

"Well then let's do dinner," he replied.

"My feet are completely soaked. Maybe we should just go home and do dinner later," you said.

"What if I buy you socks?"

"Buy me socks?" You repeated.

"Sure, from some gift shop."

"Oh, you don't have to." Well, Charlie did anyways, and after you changed out of your wet socks and into dry, fuzzy ones, you put on your shoes and went out with Charlie to a Chinese buffet.

The buffet was really good and they even had hot chocolate since it was cold outside.

"Thanks for trying to teach me how to skate," you said to Charlie during dinner. He smiled.

"You'll get it sometime else."

"Hopefully there doesn't have to be a 'sometime else,'" you said to him as he laughed.

You smiled as you took another bite of fried rice. At least you being bad at skating had given you a chance to get to hold onto him and give him lots of hugs tonight. You smiled to yourself. That thought made you happy.
