It was a rainy day and you were very bored. Your boyfriend Charlie was over but there was nothing to do.

Suddenly, you remembered that you had a box of cake mix in the cupboard.

"Oh! Charlie, I think we have a box of cake mix in the cupboard. Wanna bake cupcakes?" You asked.

"But it's cake mix, not cupcake mix," he said, confused.

"You bake cupcakes with cake mix, stupid," you laughed. He laughed, too.

"Oh well. My bad," he said with a little giggle, completely shameless. So you got up and walked to the kitchen with him and you got out all the ingredients you needed to bake cupcakes. You started mixing them together and Charlie poured the batter into cupcake tins.

"I'm excited, I love cupcakes!" You said, getting out a tub of frosting and cute little colored sprinkles.

"Can the frosting be green?" He requested, getting out the green food dye. You nodded and put a few drops of the dye in and mixed it up until it was evenly colored. "That looks nice," he smiled. You agreed.

When the cupcakes finished baking, you and Charlie had to wait for what seemed like forever for them to cool. So you cuddled on the couch together and watched an episode of Jane the Virgin, which Charlie strangely seemed to enjoy whenever he came over.

The episode finished and you got up off of the couch. You checked the cupcakes and they seemed like they were ready to be frosted.

"Here, you can frost these," you said, giving him half the cupcakes. He nodded and you began to frost your half. You decorated them with sprinkles and then you looked over at Charlie to see how he was doing.

He had frosted about half the amount of how many you had frosted. Instead of frosting his cupcakes when you looked over at him, he had his finger in the bowl of frosting. He brought it to his lips and licked it off before smiling to himself and frosting one more cupcake before sprinkling it and licking more frosting from his fingers.

"Charlie! You're eating so much of the frosting!" You said. He turned around and all around his mouth was green frosting. He smiled.

"Want some?" He offered, extending a finger to you. You grinned and laughed, licking the frosting off of his finger. He gave you a kiss afterwards, getting some of the frosting on your lips. You licked it off and then continued to frost your cupcakes.

Just as you had predicted, you ran out of frosting before the cupcakes were all frosted, but it was all ok. You licked the bowl clean and cleaned up the kitchen before you each grabbed a cupcake and returned to the couch and TV.

You spent the rest of the cozy, rainy afternoon eating cupcakes, cuddling and watching TV.
