When you had started dating Kara, you had been nervous to admit that you were a single mother, but she was far more supportive than you could have ever imagined, and you were glad that the day had come for you to introduce the two most important women in your life to one another.

Your daughter was eight and was just glad to see you happy but was glad to finally meet the woman you had spoken about and promised to be on her best behaviour when she came over for dinner. As soon as the doorbell rang, you jumped up from your seat and looked over your child to make sure she hadn't somehow made you look like a terribly unfit mother, but she looked just as perfect as you expected to see.

"Are you going to open the door?" Your daughter asked, knocking you out of your thoughts.

"Oh," you chuckled, rushing to the door to open it for Kara.

You warmly greeted her before leading her into the house and prepared yourself to introduce them to each other.

"Kara, this is my daughter Y/D/N and Y/D/N this is Kara," you smiled.

"It's nice to meet you, Y/D/N," Kara said leaning down slightly to get closer to your daughter's height.

"Mama, you lied," your daughter huffed.

You raised an eyebrow at her not quite sure what she was talking about. Of course you had lied to her as any parent had but you doubted now was when she figured out the truth about Santa and the tooth fairy.

"Did I?" You questioned.

"Yes," she stated. "You said that Kara was beautiful, but you didn't say that she was prettier than Supergirl and Wonder Woman combined."

When telling your daughter about meeting Kara, you had encouraged her to be nice and not say anything mean but you didn't realise that she was going to be so kind without you paying her.

"You're too nice," Kara laughed.

"Kara knows Supergirl," you added.

Your daughter looked at you as though you had told her the best news that she could have heard.

"Really?!" She beamed. "I love Supergirl, I have so many drawings of her, let me grab them."

She rushed off up the stairs into her bedroom to find the binder filled with her art that she had been building up over the years.

"Do you think she likes me?" Kara asked.

"Of course. How couldn't she? You Kara Danvers are prettier than even Supergirl and Wonder Woman combined."
