You never believed that anything normal could come from a relationship with Wonder Girl and your current date only proved that. The two of you had been walking together to get to the restaurant that you had reservations for when she saw one of the villains that she had become familiar with committing a robbery. She couldn't just watch it happen so apologised to you and went to fight for what was right. You waited across the road, watching the fight take place.

They seemed relatively evenly matched, and you hated seeing Donna getting hit but knew she was very capable of fighting. Not long into the fight, he started to get the upper hand, knocking her down more until he was able to get her onto the floor and clamber on top of her, continuing to throw blow after blow at her.

Donna tried her best to fight back but was unable to move off of the floor, so you knew that you were her only hope at not being completely pummelled into a paste. You looked around for something to help and grabbed the heaviest piece of shrapnel that you could lift up and use as a weapon. The attacked didn't notice that you were even there so when you lifted up the shrapnel as high as you could, he didn't move before gravity took its effect and collided with his head.

He fell down, giving Donna a chance to push him off of her and make sure that he was completely out cold.

"Are you okay?" You asked as she got up on her feet.

She nodded her head, but her pained expression said otherwise. "I've had worse. Thank you for helping me by the way, I don't really want you involved in this part of my life for your safety, but I'd be dead without you."

"Anytime," you smiled, kissing her cheek. "I wasn't just going to stand there and let you get killed. I hate seeing you in so much danger but I'm just glad that I was able to help you out for once instead of being a hindrance."

Donna leant on you slightly, to try and help take the weight off of her pained limbs as she tried her best to feel well enough to continue on with the walk.

"You're not a hindrance but from now on I would much rather not have you in danger even if you are able to help me."
