Chapter 21

This is no joke - I need help.

Jungkook's face held a deathly frown while watching Jin entering his and Taehyung's bedroom. Taehyung, with a sly smirk, followed Jin inside and closed the door behind him. Jungkook has no idea what is happening behind closed doors, and that made him helpless.

"I go first," Jin said on his way to the bathroom.

"Do you need company?" Taehyung asked, but all he got as an answer was the slam of the door. He chuckled and jumped on his bed. He closed his eyes and smiled while imagining him and Jin to sleep and maybe do more on the same bed. But then one realization interrupted his thoughts. He opened his eyes and sat up on the bed. He turned his head to a corner of the room and, with disgust in his eyes, watched Jin's perfectly made bed.

"I need to get rid of this annoying piece of useless furniture!" He cursed to himself.

"I am done," Jin said as he left the bathroom. Taehyung looked at him and frowned confusedly.

"Why do you wear this?" Taehyung asked, and Jin looked at him, confused too. Jin wore old sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt - something he would never wear to sleep if he didn't have to share a room with Taehyung.

"My pajamas," Jin said ordinary, and sat down on his bed.

"You wear less of clothes even when you go to church," Taehyung said desperately, and Jin laughed.

"You are silly," Jin said and lay down.

"Please turn off the lights," Jin spoke for the last time, and then there was silence. Taehyung, with curses, went to switch and turned off the lights.

Taehyung woke up in an empty room, he looked around, but Jin was nowhere. He looked at the clock, and it was 9 am. After stopping in the bathroom, he got out of his bed and made his way to the dining hall. He could even from afar heard Jin's laugh. He felt better when he knew that Jin is still in the castle, but his mood was ruined when he saw the source of Jin's amusement. Jin was sitting by a large table opposite Jungkook, and they were talking about something.

"You really said to Jae-hwan to stand by my ass the whole time? Do you even know how annoying it was?" Jin said with a pout.

"No! I didn't tell him to stand behind your ass! I told him to watch over you, not your ass!" Jungkook said angry and Jin laughed again. Taehyung stood in the door and watched the couple from afar. He saw how their fingers are intertwined and how they are watching each other, ignoring the world around them. He watched Jungkook and saw something in his eyes that he wanted to have too - happiness. How come that Jungkook, who caused all his pain and torture, is happy. Is Jin blind? Jungkook is the villain here, not him. He is the one who deserves to be happy with the prince of Seoul, not Jungkook. Suddenly, conversation from last night replayed in his mind.

Last night - TAEJIN BEDROOM

It was 2 hours of watching the ceiling for Taehyung before Jin spoke.

"Taeyhung? Do you sleep?" Jin asked. Taehyung was shocked to hear Jin's voice. He thought that he slept since he turned off the lights.

"No, I am awake," Taehyung said and sat upon his bed. Jin was just lying.

"Tell me the truth. Are you doing all this just to get revenge on Jungkook?" Jin asked in weak voice and when Taehyung didn't answer, Jin continued.

"I know you feel deceived by him, and you have the right to feel like that. Jungkook made a bad decision to believe that you just ran away, but he felt betrayed by his friend too. I know you were innocent and just tried to help your friend to open his eyes, but you could do it a better way than let him see Jimin and you together. He was in love and this broke his heart. But if you want to hear my opinion, he felt the biggest pain when he lost you, his best friend. I don't want to sound cheesy but I mean it." Jin finished and turned his head to Taehyung's bed. He saw nothing, just darkness, but he knew that Taehyung is listening.
