Jungkook's POV:
"Kookie! My handsome boy!" My mother yelled over the whole house when I appeared at our main door, in uniform with my bag.
"Hi, mom," I said and hugged her.
"Oh my god, Kookie! You gained such strength there!" She said surprisingly and began to touch my arms. She pulled me inside the house and sat me down on the new sofa. I was looking around and watched the new furniture that my parents acquire since I was gone, but my thoughts were cut off when I heard my father's voice.
"Look at him who came back home." My father entered the living room with raised eyebrows. I got up from the sofa where I was sitting and looked at him with a proud smile.
"Did you run away, or they kicked you out already?" He asked and sat down in HIS chair. Mom looked at him uncomfortably and didn't know what to say, so she rather went to the kitchen. My smile disappeared, and I sat down back on a sofa opposite him.
"I didn't get kicked out, neither I ran away. I just came to visit you for Christmas." I said confidently, but I just was hiding my big nervousness. He looked at me suspiciously as if he didn't trust me and really thought that they kicked me out.
"Hmm," He just hummed, and then he took newspapers from the coffee table and began to read. There was silence. I didn't know what to say, so I just stared at him. We were like this for almost 20 minutes, and then mom called us for dinner.
"So, do you have new friends?" Mom asked while she was putting a meal on my plate.
"Yes, Kim Taehyung, my roommate," I said.
"And then a lot of others, but Taehyung is my really good friend."
"Is he willing to die for you?" Father asked without looking at me.
"What?" I asked, taken back by his question.
"I had only one good friend, and when it was the worst, he sacrificed his life for me." My father said with a serious look on me.
"Thanks to him, I could come back to you and your mother. Is that Taehyung able to sacrifice himself for you?" He stared at me, and I stared at him back in silence.
"That is what I thought." He said, and continued to eat. My grip on my spoon was tighter and tighter, and my knuckles began to be white. The rest of our dinner was held in silence.
"Kookie, what about your school?" Mom asked me with a smile when we were alone in the kitchen, washing the dishes together.
"Ahhh," I thought a little, but then I decided to say true to my precious mother.
"It is perfect. I am the top student in my class, and I have...boyfriend," I said with a shy smile. My mom stopped her washing and looked at me worriedly.
"Don't say that to your father." That was all she said, and I was a little surprised. She was always the one who supported me the most. I didn't expect this from her. I just nodded and continued washing the dishes.
"Jungkook, understand me, please. You know how he is like." Mom said, and I just continued nodding. After a while, I stopped and turned around to her.
"Mom, I love him. I want to spend my life with him." I said, and a tear rolled from my eye. She stared at me, frowned with sad eyes, and then she hugged me.
"I love you. You are my son. I will support you until I die, and nothing can change it," She said and stroked my back. I put my head on her shoulder and tried to stop other tears from falling. We were like this in a hug for a while, and none of us noticed that someone listed to us the whole time behind the corner.
