It was silent in the plane apart from the hum of the machine. Sam was silent and laid down on the left benches, Bucky sat in the middle shoulders hunched over on the black metal crate, and Joey sat slouched across from Sam. They were on a night flight and the two blue lights gave the whole plane a glow.

"You all right?" Sam tilted his head from his played down position, arms crossed against his chest and looking at Bucky who stared at the floor. Joey lifted her head and watched the conversation start. Bucky looked defeated, he looked angry and tired, Joey could completely understand why he felt that way.

Bucky didn't reply for a minute and Joey began to wonder if he even heard Sam. "Let's take the shield." His speech started out as a mumble but then he repeated himself louder, "Let's take the shield and do this ourselves."

"We can't just run up on the man, beat him up, and take it," Sam sat up from his position, "Do you remember what happened the last time we stole it?"

"Maybe," Bucky side eyed Sam. Joey rested her head backwards and closed her eyes, she didn't know where they were headed next but she assumed Bucky or Sam had a plan.

"I'll help you in case you forgot. Sharon was branded enemy of the state, and Steve, Joey and I were on the run for two years," Joey didn't need to open her eyes to know that they both looked at her, Sam was right about Bucky's staring problem, "I don't know about you, but I don't wanna live the rest of my life la vida loca. We just got our ass handed to us by Super Soldiers, and we got nothing."

Bucky shook his head slightly, "Not entirely true." Joey opened her eyes and watched Bucky move and sit next to Sam, "There is someone... that you should meet."

Sam nodded and Bucky moved towards the cockpit of the plane to change the coordinates and the plane moved subtly.

"I'm gonna get some shuteye, I suggest you do the same." Sam gave Joey a look and she nodded with a soft smile. The Falcon laid down on the seats, taking up pretty much the whole row and drifted off to sleep quickly. Joey was so focused on his breathing she didn't notice how Bucky sat beside her and did the same, both counting Sam's level breaths.

"I'm sorry," Joey breathed out after minutes of silence, the blonde brushed her hair behind her ears and her eyes blinked rapidly to try and stay awake.

Like before it took Bucky a minute to respond, "What for?"

"I snapped at you earlier, behaved like a bitch for no reason at all," Joey turned her head to him and smirked, "and I don't want you to think I'm a raving bitch," both of them chuckled a bit at that. Steve would have a heart attack if he heard all the language which came from her mouth. Her small smile fell at the thought of Steve and Bucky took notice, wondering what caused those sea blue eyes to cloud over with pain.

"Don't forget letting those super soldiers punch me at the beginning," Bucky teased slightly, remembering how she just flew a few meters behind the truck and watched him get punched by the redhead.
