CHAPTER 20

It's truly a hard-knock life.

Well.. especially for this alpha.

It's a hard knock night.

Haechan couldn't count how many tosses, turns, and rolls he had already done. A bed should serve comfort for everyone, but why has it made him much more active and awake?

Well, maybe he isn't living an innocent life now because the concept of heat and mating invaded the entirety of his brain.

Yet all he can do is lock himself in his room while bathing in the remains of the vanilla scent on his clothes.

And yes, he never had the guts to take it off.

"Fuck, I can't cum anymore," he cried and aggressively kicked the air.

His hands were cramped from helping his pet sleep, yet after it could vomit white liquids, it would wake up again.

It almost feels like an unending cycle, until his pet is the one that completely denies attention and tells the owner to stop and sleep.

But how could he even shut his eyes for 5 minutes if he could hear the omega's cries and whimpers behind his walls?

"Ugh, let it stop. Let it stop!" he almost begged and prayed on 127 pages with a font size of 10.

"Is it that bad? Fuck, I can't stand this anymore."

His breath hitched when three knocks resonated from his door. His head snapped like the veins gave up from the speed and force.

Three knocks came again, and the alpha jumped out.

Could it be?

"No! No! I'm not helping, no!" he chanted like a mantra while tossing himself on the bed again.

Three knocks

And three more

And more

Until a faint voice came in...

"H-Hyuck..."

By now, the alpha's body is a total mess.

His hair is sticking anywhere, his eyes are red and puffy from sleep deprivation, his shirt is crinkled, his lips are swollen from biting and chewing, and his heart beat is cracking his rib cage open.

He certainly looks like he's in the middle of a rut cycle, but he's just tired of dealing with the shit that he caused.

If only I hadn't provoked her...

"Hyuck, open up!" her voice raised, yet still weak.

"Hyerim, deep breaths!" he replied, yelling, making sure that it would bounce through the door.

"Please..."

No, no, no, no...

"H-help. Hyuck. It's so painful, like, fuck."

And then he lost it...

When she moaned at the end...

And that's when he knew that this is truly a long night.
