Day Five seems to be getting better...
Both Hyerim and Haechan saw each other at school, throwing glances here and there, and comfortably shared a lunch table with their chaotic yet supportive friends.
Today can be one of the happiest days recorded for the alpha, though every day with the omega seems to be the same. It's just that his worries, plus pent-up stress and continuous overthinking, have gradually lessened since last night.
As much as Haechan wanted to wait for her until 5 in the afternoon and drive her home, the omega's father beat him to it. He excused her for the whole afternoon because of a certain event.
Today is Choi Yura's birthday—her late mother.
Hyunsu pulled up in the parking space provided by the private cemetery. The girl appeared to be anxious and visibly shaking on the shotgun seat, which the man took notice of.
He cleared his throat and poked her puffed-up cheek—the female young adult was flinching yet able to beam a laugh, which made the mood brighter.
"We do this every year; why are you so shaken up?"
"Yeah, and I'm like this every year, and you ask the same question."
"Well," Hyunsu shugged. "You ready?"
Hyerim took a deep sigh first and grabbed the basket of sunflowers, then firmly nodded. "Okay, here goes another crying session."
"This brat—hey! I'm not that dramatic!" Hyunsu nagged while the giggly girl flashed out of the car.
And it was the same all through the passing years.
The two will share a moment of tears but end up cackling because of how red and swollen their eyes can be.
The picnic mat and the generous amount of food baskets settled in front of them while they conversed as if the woman could hear everything.
The same old thing happens, though different stories are continuously added.
By now, the father and daughter are just silently basking in the perfect weather. The sun is not fully appearing, but there isn't any trace of dark clouds. The sunlight is a little bit blinding, but the wind breeze is cool; it's perfect for picnics, riding bikes, or just hanging out and taking a walk.
"I'm still curious about one thing, though," Hyerim voiced out after a satisfied silence. "When we moved back here in Korea..."
"Hmm?"
"Why can't I remember anything before it?"

Haechan didn't know whatever shit happened, though; he just jolted up from accidentally sleeping in the living room while attempting to write a 500-word essay when the front door suddenly banged open.
And although he swore that he locked it and he almost squared up thinking that it's some thieves, his eyes widened when he confirmed that it's really a big shit when he came face to face with Hyerim crying.
The omega's legs were already weak enough for straightly running out of her father's hold; she doesn't give a damn shit if she'll end up being run over by a truck, and she just kept on running until she could hail a taxi.
Her body immediately collided with the alpha—him holding her tight and secure while whispering comfortable sets of words in an attempt to at least lessen her overgrowing pheromones.
"Hyerim... Hyerim, it's okay... Shhh, now bae, it's okay.. it's okay, please listen to me." He spoke like a mantra, slowly leading her to the sofa and urging her to sit down, but she clung more to him.
"I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving," he reassured, and the omega seemed to calm down a little bit as he pulled her to his lap.
"Now why is my baby crying?" his tone ever so soft as if he's talking to a baby, cradling her to his arms while peppering kisses on her shoulder.
"I'll fight whoever that is. Hmm? Is it Bae Hyunsu? Should I crush him in chess?"
"I'm s-sorry."
Haechan's ears perked up in the sudden, unexpected reply, unable to see her face as she's burying it close to his neck.
"Why?"
"It must be very hard for you." She tried hard to deliver the words clearly. "I didn't mean to forget you."
And boy did Lee Donghyuck's heart jump, flip, and do tumbles and splits.
He pushed her in a safe distance until he could see her face enough, choking back his own tears when she saw her state.
"Oh, Hyerim, my Rimmie, it's okay!" he once again reassured, pulling her back in a tight hug.
His feelings, unsaid but freely gliding in the air, had a scent so sweet and easy to read—happiness.
Haechan is happy, and nothing can stop him from it.
"Please forgive–"
"Oh hush now—oh wait wait—I SHOULD'VE ASKED YOU IF YOU'RE OKAY! What happened? Huh? It's not your fault, baby; no one is! It's a pure accident."
"I'm more sorry for forgetting you guys, especially you." She hesitantly met his eyes, guilt all over her face, which made the alpha frown. "But, Hyuck, I won't still ever remember anything."
"It's okay now, Bae Hyerim." His tone shifted low and serious, which made the omega flustered.
Haechan leaned closer and softly bit her lower lip, tugging it in a sensual way that sent shivers down her spine.
The alpha didn't say anything though and fully trapped her in, immediately finding a good rhythm to ride in.
"Stay for one night?" he whispered in between their moments, hands already creeping inside omega's shirt.
