Elena's P.O.V
I woke up as dawn seeped through the closed curtains, and fell upon my face, warming it up slightly from the cold air of November.
I turned away, wanting nothing more than to fall back into the lovely dream I was having. I was lying on a beach somewhere, and I felt so free. The sky was the most perfect baby blue, the sea was like liquid sapphires, and the sand was soft like velvet. Damon was with me for some reason, but I enjoyed it all the same. I do love Damon, no matter whether I'd like to or not. It wasn't my choice.
The sand felt like silk underneath my body, and the sun felt so warm, like I was standing directly next to a heater. The sky was so clear, not one fluffy white cloud to be seen. No one else was on the beach, but I liked it this way.
"Hey, Elena!" Damon called to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, with a laugh.
"Watching a very beautiful girl sunbathe."
"Really? When I see this girl I'll be sure to tell her that you were peering at her, with a stalker stare."
We laughed and I felt instantly happy. He sat next to me, and pulled me onto his lap. I suddenly felt like I belonged.
I turned over on the couch again, trying to get comfortable, when I realised I should have rolled off the first time. I cautiously open my eyes, praying that I hadn't been kidnapped, and gasped.
I was in a large bedroom, on a gigantic bed, with large pillows and dark sheets. The room was basically empty other than the mammoth-sized wardrobe and spacious, pristine bathroom. I pushed myself upright, and looked around the room. This must be Damon's room. I can't believe I've never been up here. Ever. It's awesome.
I was suddenly very aware that there was a giant lump in the bed next to me. I slowly turn my head and I'm so surprised to find Damon there. Not. An actual surprise is that I'm still fully clothed.
He's still asleep, his bare chest rising up and falling down with the steady rhythm of his breathing. He looks somewhat innocent whist sleeping, vulnerable. If I could watch his dreams, like he can watch mine, I wonder what I'd see. Maybe he dreams about me. I'd like that, I thought smiling.
I swivel round on the bed, gently so I didn't rock the bed, and slowly climb out. I tip-toe to the bathroom and try to wash my face as quietly as I could. I peer over at Damon, checking he was still asleep which he was, and continued tip-toeing across the room to the door. I guess my down-fall was the creaky floorboard, because I suddenly felt like I was being watched.
"You're standing behind me aren't you?" I guessed, not turning round yet.
"Yep," His dark, deep voice floated from his position behind me.
"Good Morning, sunshine. I had fun last night." He said, with a devious grin, as I spun around to face him.
"What are you talking about? We didn't...did we?" I asked, nervously. I looked at him with both of my eyebrows raised.
"No, but its nice to know how your mind works. I was talking about the beach? I haven't been in a while." He said, with a shrug.
"You did that? Massive invasion of my privacy, but I'll take it. It was beautiful." I replied, smiling before kissing him on the cheek, then quickly averting my eyes, feeling the blush that was spreading like fire across my face.
