The night sky covered like a blanket over the city. Though it was a beautiful night, no one noticed. For once the streets were quiet, people stopped whatever they were doing to look at the screens on display. Families sat holding hands in their living rooms, an act of comfort for some, others, in relief. In one home a mother held her crying daughter, a daughter that was taken advantage of on a night out with friends. Another home sat a father and mother, crying over the lost of a son that had been taken and turned into a killer. Cops that lost fellow officers on duty, were stilled as they took in what was shown.
The mayor of the city sat with his head in his hands. He knew what this meant, his life was now over. Someone finally brought Vincent Milano down and he, along with everyone else under Milano's thumb, were done for. He regretted ever taking the dirty money, regretted indulging in his pleasures with the girls Milano provided and definitely regretted helping with the auction of those girls. Everything came full circle, they were caught.
Violetta's body filled with pride and love as she watched on. Tears streamed down her face but these were tears of hope. Hope for a better future, a future her daughter guaranteed now. Grace held her hand tightly, her eyes glued to the television though the sight wasn't appealing in the slightest. Despite being scared at the different side of Val that now revealed itself to her, Grace's heart still filled with love. She ached at the anguish look she saw on her love's face, an overpowering need to hold her until she healed.
Marcello sat with Lena in the next room, they weren't allowed to see the destruction that took place. So instead he let himself do something he had never done before. He comforted the crying girl who was obviously not used to this side of Val.
"You're okay. She's going to come back when she's done. We just have to wait." He whispered monotonously, making the young girl cry harder.
Not one soul pitied the heartless man.
Valerius stood soaked in blood, some hers, some not. They overpowered Milano's men, only he was left and she was the one to make him pay. They fought, each fighting until they could barely stand but the woman had a father and mother to avenge. She stood there looking down at the man, the man who once reigned over this city and many other places. He laid on the floor, blood gushing from his lip, eyes almost swollen shut, and his broken knees made it impossible to stand.
Her body ached with her own wounds, but adrenaline rushed through her veins and her need for more surfaced. She looked at the camera that lived streamed to every network, site, television or news channel. Wherever a screen existed, it only played the end of this man. Val returned her focus on the man, crouching down in front of him.
"Please." He begged as blood soon followed after his word.
Val's head titled to the side. "Sounds familiar. Where have I heard it before?" She hummed mockingly. "Oh yeah. My mother said that same thing to you ten years ago. Please. Please don't, stop it." She sneered at the wide eyed man. "Then what did you say? Hmm? I love when you beg me." She spat in disgust as she stood. "Chain him." She ordered the men.
The men chained his hands to the ceiling, knees bent so he still felt the pain in them. Milano's pained groans and cries at the rough way they did it, sounded like music to their ears.
"D-don't." He cried when Val took a talon shaped blade in her hand.
She came closer to the man, toying with the weapon. Taking the tip of the blade, she casually ran it across his face. When she was done, the word Rapist rested on his forehead, two X on both his cheeks.
"You look pretty." She smile sinisterly.
She reached a hand up, taking his pointer finger and bent it until she heard it snap. Then she proceeded to do the same to the other fingers. The men that looked on cringed at the sound of bone breaking along with his screams ricocheting off the walls. She didn't stop with that one hand but the other paid the same price, for every person he touched with his filthy hands. After all fingers were broken, Val took the blade and ever so slowly she pierced it through his palm, smirking as she listened to his sore screams now.
"I like hearing you scream." She mocked what he told her mother all those years ago.
That same blade tore off the remains of his torn shirt. Remembering the man who raised her as his own, who supported everything she ever did, who acted like it was the best thing in the world everytime she won a soccer game, she carved the word Murderer on his chest.
"Suits you." She murmured, pleased with her handiwork.
"I-I can't p-please." Milano begged again.
"I'm just getting started Vincent." She hummed, walking behind him.
She traded in her blade for a razor chain whip. Bringing the whip back, she struck his bare back, striking harder when he screamed. She striked until he couldn't even manage an audible scream anymore. Until his battered and beaten body fell limp but she wasn't done.
Marcus and Danny looked on. Nothing would stop her, they both knew that. After seeing her father murdered and mother raped, the beast within Val slammed against the cage trying to break free. Then she found out who her biological father was and there was no stopping the beast from being set free. They both saw who she became three years ago on that rescue mission, she only came back when the men paid for what they did. Similarly they knew there would be no stopping her from ending Milano. Marcus did not worry about this being broadcasted everywhere, no, he would take care of the outcome. He wanted revenge for his best friend too, so he watched the gruesome sight with unwavering eyes. Danny only feared what would become of his friend when this was over. Underneath all that, laid a soft, kind and sweet soul, a soul he hoped would survive this.
Val dropped the whip, heaving from the force and effort it took to whip the man. With a flick of her hand, men rushed forward to unchain the broken excuse of a man, throwing him to the ground with a loud thud. She crouched beside him again, an unrecognizable joy settled at the pit of her stomach when his eyes barely stayed open.
"P-please n-o m-more." He barely out.
"You know, you were right about one thing. I am a beast just like you are. Only difference is while beasts like you strive off of the innocent, weak and defenseless, my beast strives off of making men like you pay." She whispered menacingly.
She stood again, reaching a hand out, palm up. A gun was placed in her hand and she smiled down at the once
'Powerful' man. In one swift motion her foot collided between his legs, making Milano howl in pain."That's your most prized possession, isn't it?" She taunted, delivering another kick. She brought her hand holding the gun up, taking aim between his legs.
"W-wait." He spurted out blood, barely managing to get his words out.
She didn't listen, a single shot rung through the air. She was bored now and simply tossed the gun as she indicated to stop the live feed. "Let him bleed out until he dies."
Danny and his father walked out after her. They kept silent as she made her way to her car, stopping before opening it. Val looked down at herself, bloodied, wounded and someone she didn't recognise. Closing her eyes, she let visions of the people she loved wash over her. It didn't work.
Without a word she hoped in her car and sped off.
They let her go, knowing it would be awhile until she came back. The girls were rescued and would be sent back home. All evidence of Vincent Milano's activities were sent out, everyone affiliated with the man would pay.
