An uncomfortable groan left from Wooyoung's mouth as a result of his constant shifting. His eyes were closed, but his mind wasn't asleep; him being aware of everything around him. From the bed he kept moving around in, to the darkness that surrounded the room, to the embrace he was being held.
He let out a heavy exhale as he flipped his body over for the umpteenth time that night, resting his head into the chest before him. He was surprised as to how his boyfriend hadn't woken up already from his moving around. The male tried to relax his mind, attempting to stop his excessive blinking behind his own eyelids, but to no avail. His eyes slowly opened, them trying to adjust to the darkness that was a different hue than the darkness of his once closed eyes.
His head turned up a bit to look at the man who was still holding him. Wooyoung felt a small smile creep it's way onto his face as he observed the peacefully sleeping being. At least one of them was getting some sleep that night.
He gently took ahold of the sleeping man's face within his hand, leaning upward to give him a soft kiss on the lips. Of course, there was no reaction, except for a small sound of whatever, but the other smiled nonetheless.
Wooyoung wriggled out of his lover's grip, making careful movements in order to not wake him up. He finally managed success and set his two feet on the floor, quickly placing a pillow into San's hold. The male, for some reason, couldn't sleep without hugging something, so Wooyoung figured it'd be a decent replacement. The difference in temperature, size, and overall feel would be noticeable, but it would hold the other off for a few; especially after seeing him immediately wrapping his arms tighter around the cushion.
Wooyoung took one last look at the man, cooing at the sight, before sliding into his slippers and quietly making his way out of the room, leaving the bedroom door slightly ajar.
The younger trudged a short distance around the apartment, until he was met with the kitchen. He immediately knew what he wanted from there; walking over to the large, stainless steel fridge, and opening it up. Eyes scanning over the various selections of food and beverages, his pair landed on some mango juice he had made a couple of days ago. He picked up the pitcher, closing the fridge and walking over to the cabinet that held their cups. Taking his favorite corgi themed mug, he set it down on the counter and poured the juice inside.
He then did what most would find weird, and ultimately, off putting. He stuck the juice filled mug into the microwave, setting it to his usual one minute marker.
This was something Wooyoung always did whenever he had a rough time sleeping, which was pretty much almost every night. He had always had a rough time sleeping for some reason, and it could really do a number on him, causing him to be exhausted or sometimes annoyed the next day, at the smallest things.
San and him would have frequent talks about his sleep deprivation, but Wooyoung wasn't trying to hear any of it. He'd tried many medicines for sleeping, courtesy of San looking any and everywhere for the numerous amounts of supplements; none of them proving to be successful, and Wooyoung absolutely refused to go to a doctor. He just didn't trust those strange people in their freakishly bright white coats. Nothing about them were the slightest bit settling.
A beeping noise was sounded off through the humbly sized kitchen, causing the male to jerk his head and that direction. Wooyoung took the mug out of the microwave while making sure to keep his hand on the handle of the cup. He was not trying to wake himself up even more with a preventable burn.
He'd hope that tonight would be one of those nights when hot mango juice would take him to sleep. Sometimes it was successful, other times not at all.
Shutting off the kitchen light, Wooyoung made his way back to his bedroom, getting met with the sight of his boyfriend still sleeping. Though, it looked like he had moved around a bit, meaning he would notice Wooyoung's little trick soon enough. The latter chuckled softly, shaking his head as he wandered off to open the doors to their balcony. He stepped out, feeling the cool-ish air sweeping past his face.
