Almost two weeks had passed since the Senior Ball happened, Rafus and I never crossed paths. This thought may be absurd but I kinda feel relieve and happy.

After I walked out from him that night, I still forced myself to return to the event. Pinakisamahan ko siya pati ang mga kasamahan ko sa mesa kahit na hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko. I couldn't bear the atmosphere between me and Rafus, fortunately I manage to stay a little longer. The atmosphere is damn suffocating and awkward, luckily they didn't notice it, especially Crezst.

I'm sure she'll report it our remaining friends whose table is far from us. If that happens, our GC will be bombarded with chats coming from my overreacting friends.

It's also unexpected for me to receive the Head Turner of the Night award, I was really shocked when they called my name. Crezst's again received the Best Dress of the Night.

The King and Queen of the Ball is Rafus and Aurora. Sayang-saya si Aurora nang gabing iyon at agad na umakyat nang stage kahit wala pang sinasabi ang mga MC.

I stared at them blankly while crossing my arms. Crezst on the other hand looks nervous and stealing glances at me. If she's worried that I might pull some acts, then she shouldn't be.

I could still vividly remember how Aurora's sweet smile turned into a mocking one when she meet my eyes. Base on conclusion, I think she's bragging that she won over me.

"Ma'am, here's my accomplishment report on my work immersion," I addressed in a low tone voice the moment I took a step inside the faculty's office

"Oh, you're early Miss Aranza." My adviser's lips creep into a smile. She's sitting comfortably on her chair while scanning my report and I'm standing in front of her, a bit tense on the probability that she might return it to me.

My nervousness doubled as she closed my folder in a snap. "Miss Aranza..."

"Uhm, y-yes Ma'am?" I stammered.

"Submission accepted..." Her serious face turns into amuse one. "You could breath now."

"Ma'am, may final exam pa po akong poproblemahin." Ngumiwi ako nang maalala iyon.

My teacher on the other hand, chuckle softly then shake her head. "Kayang kaya niyo 'yan! Kayo pa ba? Okay lang na hindi ma-perfect at least hindi kayo nandaya."

I smiled genuinely at me teacher. "We will try our best Ma'am."

She nodded before smiling. I bid my goodbye to my teacher and after that, I left the office. The corridor is a little noisy right now, maybe for some lower grades, it's their vacant time.

May mga naghahabulan, nag-uusap na medyo kalakasan ang boses, at mayroon namang nakaupo lang sa gilid na may sariling mundo.

I was on my way to the senior high building when I ran across Rafus. I stopped from my tracks then my eyes met his. I gulped, it's too late for me to swerve direction. I braced myself and silently calmed my nerves, yet it's no use! My mind is haywire and I couldn't think of appropriate response if ever Rafus approaches me.

Every step he takes towards me, I'm having a hard time gasping for air to breathe. He's getting more and more handsome in the past few days I haven't seen him. I'm not used to his eyes anymore because I felt like drowning and falling at the same time if I'll stare for a long time. Rafus is only two meters away from me now... but in favor to what I'm praying, he walk pass by me.

I felt at ease and for some reasons there's a sting in my heart, like something inside of me got trampled on. Too much expectation, I guess.

Pinalipas ko muna ang ilang segundo bago lumingon. I saw nothing but his back. This is what I've asked him that night, I should be glad for him... for fulfilling the one-sided favor.
