"You know Slaine, Paris is kinda clingy when we're still together."

She grin intentionally while brushing her forefinger around the top of her drink.

I looked at Paris' direction, a faint smile crept his face and his eyes were still apologetic.

Nasa harap ko silang dalawa. Magkatabi at sobrang lapit sa isa't isa.

Nagpatuloy pa siya sa pagsasalita at hindi ko alam kung paano ko nakayang makinig sa sinasabi ni Renesmee tungkol sa naging relasyon nila ni Paris.

"Palagi niya akong hinihintay sa labas ng department ko tuwing break at uwian. He really loves—"

"Enough, Reun." Paris' voice became authoritative.

"Why Paris? I'm just sharing to your childhood friend the things we used to do. Is there any problem with that?" Renesmee chuckled softly then looked at me in wonder.

"I thought we already talked about it?"

Napakagat ako ng labi. I want to excuse myself because I know where it's heading. They're arguing about their unfinished business in front of me.

"No, Slaine just sit there. Paris' just unreasonable." Renesmee said in a firm voice when she saw me standing and about to give them privacy.

Gusto kong matawa. Kanina lang tinanong ako ni Paris kung gano'n parin ba, kung gaya parin ng dati. Tapos ngayon, nalaman ko nalang na hindi pa pala naayos ang mga issues niya.

Nagtama ang tingin namin ni Paris. I saw how he looked pissed and there's a glint of fear in his eyes.

"I don't have to explain anymore, Reun. I'm beyond reasonable." He sternly said then he stood up. He turned to me and his expression softens. "Let's go, Ris..."

"Ha? B–bakit?"

I was startled when he pulled me and we rushed out of the restaurant. Natanto ko nalang ang ginawa niya noong papalapit na kami sa kotse niya.

Sinubukan kong kumawala sa hawak niya at nang magtagumpay ay lumayo ako ng kaunti. "What was that all about Paris?"

He sighed and looked at me tenderly.

"It's clear that you two needs to talk. What was that behavior all about?"

He tried to reach for my elbows but I keep on taking steps backward.

"I already settled things before I came back here in Antique, Ris. Please believe me this time..." Longing was evident in his expression and he then smiled weakly at me.

Umiwas ako ng tingin at tumikhim. "Labas naman ako dito pero hindi ko nagustuhan ang pakikitungo mo ng gano'n sa ex mo. You shouldn't do that and just pulled me out there."

"I'm sorry, Ris. Don't worry, I'll apologize to her later." He sincerely said then intertwined our hands and guided it his lips.

I was caught off guard by that stunt. It made me stilled and confused. In the end, I didn't said a word until we entered his car and maneuvered it back to Rio de Janiero.
