The sky has melted into shades of amber and gray, filling the city with a mallow mood. You have tried staying awake the whole day, thankfully Yuuji was able to poke you awake. Funny thing is, he didn't grow tired of doing it every few minutes, no matter how many times it took, he helped you stay awake, making stupid jokes about Santa not being real( he isn't) and thinking about what color he wants to dye his hair next. It amazes you how this boy never bores himself out by now. He never shuts up. But he's your only friend in this school, so you have no better choice. The boy cracks you up every single time. Even now, as the kids are packing up, he's still trying to balance his pencil on his nose. For some reason, the teachers decide not to call him out, even though he's obviously distracted 99% of the time. He's a real amusement, really. But being here, present, in class right next to him, really has made a difference. He makes school fun, in the least.

"Oi, Yuuji." you scold him. The boy snaps out of his daze, facing you entirely. "Pack up, unless you're not excited to go home."you say. "You don't look very excited to go home either, Y/n." he teases as he always does. You sigh. "I have cleaning duty after, so can you please not be a menace and get going?"

The boy shoots up from his seat, being ridiculously close to you. "REALLY? CAN I STAY BACK WITH YOU?" he beams. You're already at a loss for words. Does he really not want to go home? He rushes out before you say anything, and you can hear him yelling from outside "FUSHIGURO! NOBAAARAAA-SANNN!! GO HOME WITHOUT ME OKAY?" . Welp, he's embarrassing. When he comes back, you smack his back. "Can you quiet down? Geez, thought you wanted to spend more time with Megumi and Nobara?" you say. But Itadori laughs.

"Psshhhh nah. They'll have fun, don't worry. Nobara's probably gonna get herself Starbucks before doing homework at the library, and I think Megumi's gonna go out with that new chick he's become friends with." he leans back into his usual chair, acting cool. This dumbass. The students have left the class, and now it's just the two of you. The sun is setting slowly outside, warming your skin. Itadori helps to take out the trash and wipe the whiteboard for you. Meanwhile, you start with sweeping the floor.

"Ne ne, why aren't you in any clubs?" you ask him. He's still busy wiping. "Hmm, well, let's see...I'm not really particularly good in anything." he answers. Not good at anything? You know well that he's lying, because the last time you've checked, people were lining up outside this class yesterday, begging him to join their clubs. He accidentally caught people's attention the last gym lesson, he bypassed the strongest runner in class and beat the best arm wrestler during recess. Oh, and he also beat you in chess. Thrice. In a row. Just the other day, you caught him playing soccer with the boys at the school field, he was the odd one out in a blue tee because he doesn't have the school soccer jersey. So yes, you know he's lying. And he's terribly bad at it. "Don't lie, Itadori." you say to him. "I'm not! I just really don't want to join any. It's not all that fun." he suddenly goes "Oh!", making you turn to him. You thought he'd hit himself or injured himself badly, from the sound he just let out, but he's just having one of those "Big Brain Moments". He hops on the spot. "I am in a club! How could I forget?" he chuckles. "Really? Which one?" you ask.

" The Occult Research Club!" he poses like some sort of action figure, pretending there's some dramatic music playing the background or something like that. Well, there he goes again, in his own little world. You continue to sweep away, ignoring him completely.

"W-You're ignoring me?!" he yells dramatically.

"Yes because that's not an actual club."

"It is too!"

"It is not!"

"It is too!!"

"It! Is! Not!"
