You put on a sweatshirt and loose pants, then your school jacket. Your hair's a mess, still you refuse to look at the mirror, knowing damn well that you'll get disappointed in the way you look today. Today is the day, today's the start of summer camp. You have mixed feelings about what's to come, but it's not going to mess anything up, because Itadori's going to be there the whole time. Like he said. You pull your hair into a tight ponytail, away from your face, hopefully your pimples get covered by your baby hairs. Your pimples have always been a top insecurity, besides the fats, or the crooked teeth, or everything physical about yourself. Right, what's next? Oh, right. You put on your bag over your shoulder, reaching for your pockets for your phone. Phone..phone..WHERE'S MY DAMN PHONE- you hear a faint 'ding' sound coming from your bed. Yes, perfect timing. It's a message from Itadori.

Your text a simple :
(GG dwn now) and run down the stairs, hoping he doesn't see you this early, to be able to see your ugly morning face. It's 9am right now, and you're already regretting everything. He's already at your doorstep, hands in his pockets, wearing the school gym clothes. When you open the door, the wind from outside welcomes you, as well as the whiff of his strawberry shampoo. "Good morning ,Y/n!" he greets brightly. You smile back. How much shampoo did he use? You're convinced he's a real girlie boy, as he has perfectly parted his hair(although it's still going to get messy soon) and he's chewing some bubblegum. "You're chewing gum, in the morning?" you sound annoyed unintentionally, and he groans. "Not even a hello? Geez, are you my mom?" he whines, throwing his head back. Whatever. He smells too good, too, it makes you ashamed to be a girl. You both walk to the train station, when you suddenly feel a certain stabbing pain in your gut. You pause, unable to hold back. Itadori notices, and stops too. "You okay?" he asks. Shit, it's the gastric. You hold your stomach, trying to stay calm. "Yeah, just morning gastric." you say casually. "Ah, I see-wait, what-" he turns back, and like a clown, looks so stunned over your statement. "That's not good. Do you need me to get you anything? Coffee? No wait, tea? Not sure if tea is better..."he looks concerned. Genuinely concerned that it's scary. You pat him on the shoulder. "Nah, I'm fine. And damn, who's the mom now?" you laugh, pulling him along.
"You should've told me you haven't eaten." he mumbles in a low voice as you reunite with the rest of the class at the shuttle. You catch his friends from afar, and they wave to him. Ah yes, you forgot. He's a popular kid. "Yuuji-kun! Wanna sit at the back of the bus with us?" they ask him eagerly. If only someone would react in such a way when you're here. The girls are giving you looks, and you pull at your jacket. No, ignore them, you say to yourself. Itadori looks back to you for a split second, then he turns back to them. "Nah, it's okay. I'll stick with Y/n." he gives his usual sunny smile, and the boys are okay with it. Itadori uses his smile like a weapon, maybe because people immediately melt over it every time he uses it. He runs back to you, and you notice his eyes are on the girls' side. For a moment there you seem to lose him, his usual happy, carefree mask hidden under those serious, hooded eyes. You don't know why, but it's attractive, in a way. When he looks back to you, he switches back, scaring you. Does he always do this? "Stay close to me, okay?" his smile has returned, and he tilts his head to the side, making you blush. Okay, he can stop now...
It hasn't dawned on you that you're about to sit next to your one and only crush. You only started panicking when you're about to take a seat in the shuttle bus that smells like cheese and cigarettes, and when you look up to who's about to sit right next to you, you can't breathe. Usually, you'd sit alone, with all the privacy in the world. He takes a seat, tapping on his lap excitedly like he's never been on a camp before. He looks out the window, and you avoid eye contact, but then the boy points out the scenery, unable to stay in his seat. God, I'm sitting next to him? "OOh! Oh look! It's Mount Fuji!!"he yells and presses his palms on the glass. "It's MOUNT FUJIIIII!!" he screams, totally thrilled. Half his body is on top of you as he moves up and down, making you uncomfortable. "Itadori, that's a hill." you say. "NO IT'S NOT, IT'S MOUNT FUJ-"
