UNEDITED CHAPTER (I rushed) Hey hey! This is the last update that I'll be able to post for 4 weeks. FOUR WHOLE WEEKS. I hate it too. Enjoy the chapter though. ;)

This chapter is dedicated to @americanballerina for being the only one to comment on the last chapter, so thank you!

But I might update tomorrow...you never know.

"Hey!" Alexis greeted me at the door of the school.

"Hi." Nervous butterflies swarmed my stomach as we stepped into the school together. "Where do I get my schedule?"

"The auditorium. I already got mine, so just meet me back here, and we'll---" something caught her eyes and she blushed. I turned around to see the hunk from the ice cream shop, the one with hazel eyes that I saw the other day. The very snarky sarcastic one. Great.

"Who's he?" I asked, turning back to Alexis, who was desperately fixing her hair.

"Only the cutest guy in school! He's captain of the football team. Eric. Eric yummy Thompson."

"I doubt his middle name is 'yummy', but I met him. He works in the ice cream shop." I said.

"Yup. I love Eric--I mean ice cream!" She composed herself.

"Yeah..okay.." I trailed off, noticing she wasn't even focused on me. "I'm going to the auditorium..to chop off someone's head..." I said.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah, go." She said, waving me off. I laughed, because her eyes were still trained on Eric. Oh, the teenage courting ritual of batting lashes and sly smirks.

I entered the auditorium, which wasn't that crowded, save for some freshman who looked completely lost. Luckily for me, the 'seniors' line only had one other person in front. As I got closer, the smell of fresh cotton and cologne filled my nostrils, forcing me to recognize who was on the line in front of me: Aiden.

I guess he must have somehow noticed me too, because he turned around, and when he laid his eyes on me, he smirked. It made me want to punch him and kiss him at the same time. As my emotions raged inside my head, he started to talk.

"Sprinkles." He said. "Nice to see you. I really thought--"

"Take your schedule, young man!" The lady held out a paper. And Aiden took it, and stepped aside for me to talk. Maybe I would be chopping off someone's head.

"Name?" The woman looked up at me with beady eyes, behind red-wired glasses. Scandalous.

"Piper Delaine."

"Delaine?" The lady lifted her eyebrows, but said no more.

"Yeah, it's spelled D-E-L--"

"I know how to spell Delaine." The lady retorted.

After a few clicks, my schedule was printed and I took it, thanking the lady.

I turned and started walking, and Aiden caught up. "What class do you have first period?" He asked.

I looked down at the paper. "History. With Mr. Glasgo. Room 433." I said, sighing at the fact that I had to walk up four flights of stairs.

Aiden looked down at his schedule, and I immediately noticed the sly smile that appeared over his features. "Me too."

I turned to him. "No funny business." I said sharply.

His mouth formed an 'O'. "Like what?"

"Like that stupid war you mentioned earlier." I said, climbing up the stairs.
