I got up at 8 am and got changed into bell bottom jeans, with a thick brown belt that had a circular buckle, and a a Beatles t-shirt, and went to meet Donna at the mall. She was a half an hour late, like usual.

"So, Donna?" I started. "Why were you at MY house about to have sex with Dally? I'm pretty sure you traumatized Ponyboy." I told her. "Next time he sees a girl naked, he will be in shock, denial, or disbelief.Confused, difficulty concentrating. Anxiety and fear.Guilt, shame, self-blame.  Feeling disconnected or numb."

"How would he be numb? That makes no sense."

"Well you did traumatize him and those are the symptoms, sooo..." I said.

"How do you know that? And many other random things?" Donna asked.

"While you're off smoking with Carol, I go to the library and read." I said innocently.

"Back to the topic from before, why were you at my house with Dally?"

"Well, everyone is always at the Curtis' house so I thought that's where you all would be. Your house is always empty, and the one time I need it to be empty, you and four of your friends are there." She said as a matter of fact.

"So you thought it was a good idea to have sex at MY house without me knowing. Would you have told me?" I pressed.

"Yes... but I wouldn't say at your house." She sounded guilty. I can't believe my BEST FRIEND was going to have sex at my house and not tell me.

"Okay but serious question, why Dallas Winston. Out of all people in this town?" I asked truly wondering. She ran her fingers through her dark black curly hair. "I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?" People started looking at us.

"I guess I always wanted what I couldn't have. He finally asked so I took my chance and didn't let go." She said grinning. "I know he only wanted me for sex, but I still took my chance." She said. 'Seriously.' I thought. DALLAS FUCKING WINSTON? I still couldn't believe what was coming out of her mouth.

"You have issues." I told her.

"You do too." She said back.

We started laughing and made our way to Bloomingdale's. Right when we walked in, we saw these gorgeous pair of heels.

"Oh my God!" We both said at the same time.

"I need these shoes in my life!" Donna said.

"Everybody does." I said. They were wedged with an open-toe. They were warm toned colours with orange and brown circles.
