Chapter 21: "...I'd give my life for her..."

Once we arrived back to the Golden Dawn base, Captain Vangeance surprisingly greeted us. We kneeled at his presence and we were ready for anything he has to say.

Captain Vangeance: Good evening, I've approached you all so that you may follow me into the grand hall.

As he walked, we got to our feet and followed him. After entering the hall, Captain Vangeance went ahead towards the top of the stairs. When he turned to face us, he gestured Yuno, Mimosa, and I to leave the room. Without a word, we exited the grand hall and waited outside of the doors. Since the doors were so thick and made of solid wood, we couldn't hear a thing that Klaus and Captain Vangeance were talking about. Then Mimosa gasped and asked excitedly.

Mimosa: Oh Vanellope, your cape has been fixed!

Me: *happy* It sure is and the best part is, I can train without it getting in the way.

Mimosa: How wonderful! Who fixed it? The work on it is tailored nicely and precise.

Me: It was someone from the Black Bulls.

Mimosa: *overly confused* Really? They have their own tailor?

Me: *chuckles* No. It was an actual member of the Black Bulls. Her name is Vanessa and she has thread magic. How Kewl Is That? She even stitched my name on it!

Mimosa: I'm so happy for you! You got a customize piece that only you will have.

I decided not to show her the stitching of my name because the "Secret Member of the Black Bulls" stitching was right under it. I love Mimosa, I truly do but I don't want her thinking I'd leave the Golden Dawn too. I just hope to hide it as much as possible because I can see the other members trying to get me out by saying I'm working with the Black Bulls and leaking "information" to them; and since the Golden Dawn members don't like Yuno, I'm scared they will do what they can to get him out by lying that he's also leaking information. They can even out right say that he's a traitor.

I glanced over at Yuno. He was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed looking in the opposite direction that Mimosa and I were standing. I sighed as I thought about what Yuno said earlier.

[I just don't understand why Yuno would say something like that. I really want to talk to him and ask him all these question that I've had since we left the market place but Mimosa is here. I want to keep this private and not have her know what's happening between Yuno and I. I wish I had someone to get advice from.]

Lost in thought, a sudden sharp and burning pain shot through my entire face. I quickly grabbed my nose after the door was removed. Klaus stepped out the door and noticed I was in pain. He realized what he accidentally had done and began to apologize. I smiled through the pain as I kept saying it was fine. Yuno quickly came up to check on me.

Yuno: Are you ok?

Me: *nasally* Yeah, yeah. I'm fine.

Yuno got mad and turned towards Klaus.

Yuno: Why can't you be more careful?

Klaus: It was an accident you vitriolic boy. I don't have the ability to see through objects.

Me: *to Yuno* Yeah, Yuno. It really was an accident.

Yuno said nothing and stepped back from Klaus. I patted my nose feeling how swollen and bruised it was. Luckily I wasn't bleeding or had a sneeze attack. Klaus adjusted his glasses and proceeded to speak.

Klaus: We've been given a mission. If my memory serves me, which it always does, it'll be your very first mission. Captain Vangeance has ordered us to escort the eldest children of the Congressman Hapshass. We are to protect them while we head towards the Heart Kingdom.
