Chapter 53: This isn't me, right?

Mimosa was announcing out loud to anyone who had injuries that they may come to her as she can heal them. As she aided the Clover Citizens, Yuno and I were busy fighting off the "walkers" so they wouldn't disturb the people getting healed. To help Mimosa enhance her healing magic and aid everyone in need of assistance, I used my "Cherry Blossom Awakening" spell to help Mimosa create more of her flower cradles.

Yuno: The corpses keep coming but the truth is, they are not the true enemy.

Me: No. I'm pretty sure it's some creep that's wearing some weird purple outfit with an eye patch.

Yuno sent out another attack spell as he asked.

Yuno: You saw them?

Me: Yes. Last I saw of him, Asta was fighting him.

Yuno sent out another attack spell and said reassuring.

Yuno: Then, Asta should be fine.

Me: I know so too. Luckily he has Leopold helping him out but I did tell Asta I'd return to him once I got the little girl, Viviana, to safety.

Before Yuno can answer anything, my attention was caught by this child. From afar, I can see that this child was a little girl wearing a bright red coat. Using my selective hearing, I can hear her crying and yelling out to her parents. My heart began to ache for this lonely child. Without hesitation, I darted my way towards the helpless little girl. I ran right passed Yuno as he looked at me shocked and yelled,

Yuno: Where are you going?

Me: A little girl is in trouble, I need to help her.

Yuno: I'll go with you!

Me: No! Mimosa needs you here!

Then out of no where,

*ZAP*

A huge thunder bolt struck right where Asta was and I let out a cry of desperation!

Me: ASTA!!!!!!!!

The feelings of "cold heart-break" filled my entire existence.

[what do I do? Help the little girl in red or help Asta?]

I grabbed my head in total frustration not knowing what to do.

{I'm torn in two!!}

Yuno: Mimosa! Can you handle this on your own?

Mimosa: I believe so! You and Vanellope have cleared the area enough for me to heal everyone here! Alecdora should be back soon to help me if the time is needed!

Yuno: Are you sure?

Mimosa: Yes! Now go please! Help everyone you can!

Yuno: Thank you!!

Yuno came to my aid as soon as he got the "blessing" from Mimosa.

Yuno: Vanellope!

Hearing Yuno call out to me knocked me back to reality and helped me relax. I turned to Yuno and asked blankly.

Me: What?

Yuno: Mimosa can hold her own so come on, let's go.

Yuno grabbed my hand as we darted towards the direction of the red coated girl.

Me: But...But what about Asta?

Yuno: He should be fine. We know better than anyone that Asta will be more than alright. Now, let's go help the little girl.

I was looking at Yuno aimlessly as he turned to me and smiled brightly.

[His smile...it brings me such a peaceful state of mind. A feeling of serenity. A moment of relaxation. Yuno. You make me fall so much more in love with you. The way you make me feel as if it's all a dream. Yuno, you make me feel like I can do anything. No one can ever give me this feeling, except you. You've grown so much and it's shown by your actions. Especially how you treat me and how much you prioritize me in these situations, or in any situation actually. I can't thank you enough.]
