Mom and Madison came through the front door. Both laughing. Madison came running over to me and started comforting me. But she couldn't do it without laughing. She started to explain what happened, but I wasn't listening. I may have laughed earlier but I felt like I just fell into a pit of sadness. I just fell into darkness.
I got up from my seat and went to the couch. I heard Madison ask mom what was wrong with me, but I was pretty sure mom already told her.
"Hey Cally, you didn't eat much. Do you want the rest of it?"
"No I'm good. I don't feel like eating."
I grabbed my crutches from the floor and started going upstairs. One crutch came out from beneath me and I fell face first into the stair step. They both came running after me, but by the time they got there, I was already standing up.
"Cally! Are you okay??!" Madison practically yelled right in my ear.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just help me the rest of the way."
Madison grabbed my arm and mom stepped behind me and they helped me up the stairs. When we got to the top, I went straight to my room and shut it. Not even thinking about saying sorry.
The wall was built around me. It was negativity, sadness. I want to get out, but I can't. It builds higher and higher.
I went to my bed and curled up in a ball. I want this cast off, I want my life back. I want to be happy.
In complete silence, I close my eyes and fall straight to sleep.
Its completely dark. The only light I can see is the light coming from the door's window.
I run up the door and look out. The trees were green, slowly drifting to black. The grass is slowly drifting to black as well. A body shape shadow is standing about 6 feet from the door. The colors on its shirt are bright neon.
"Hey! Can you help me?!"
It stays where it is. Not a single movement. Then the shirt turns black, everything around it is black and grey.
The door opens and I run out. A shot of more sadness and despair fills me. I look around to see a brick wall coming closer and closer to me. I run to the shadow and try to touch it, but it disappears behind me.
I turn around and yell, "What's going on?! Where am I?!"
"You're the reason. You're turning. You'll never escape."
And it disappears again. This time, its totally gone.
I start crying. I feel the grass, and then lay down.
"You belong here. In darkness." Something whispers to me.
"You belong here."
I shoot up out of bed, and look at the clock. It was almost 4 am.
I flopped back down on my bed.
I belong in darkness. What the shadow thing said to me in my dream made me think. I still had the feeling from my dream. It felt so real. Even though I have the feelings that I had in the dream, it feels like it was about to come true.
I tried to fall back asleep but I couldn't. So I went out of my room and looked down the hall to see Demi's light on. I was tempted to go knock on her door, but I knew that she was going to yell at me to get out and she said to never talk to her again so...
I went down stairs, without falling, and I didn't have my crutches so it was even harder. But I made it, surprisingly.
I turned on the tv and watched it for a little bit. Then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Heels clicked on the wooden floor.
