Third pov
Upon exiting the elevator, the Drum and Bass music blasted throughout the space of the floor. Arabella didn't realise that the party was on Ace's actual floor. She imagined that it was only going to be a couple of people going - that the party was only going to be a few quiet drinks. Instead, she swore it felt like over half of her year group was present.
The girls stood by the elevator lobby, all staring around at the pandemonium in front of them. Everyone was either dancing to the music, making out in some corner, drinking, experimenting with new drugs or playing some party game. It wasn't until the beer pong table was roaring that Arabella spots Ace and Sabo cheering after sinking the opponent's ball.
'Finally, some familiar faces.' Arabella thought with relief.
Arabella watched as Sabo weaves through the crowd, turning to people occasionally to apologise. As he got closer, Arabella inspected his attire. He wore grey trousers, a black turtle neck shirt, a long-sleeved dark blue shirt which was unbuttoned and black converse. He accessorised with a black belt with a golden buckle and a black vintage watch.
"Ladies, you made it!" He greets happily.
"Sorry for taking so long; pre-drinks were longer than expected." Arabella apologises.
"Plus, we were trying to sober Miss Lightweight up over here." Kora huffs as she indicates to Itami.
Behind Arabella, Itami was wobbling ever so slightly as she cranes her neck to spot a certain someone. Arabella knew instantly she was looking for Ace. Gradually, she began to understand that she'll have to watch out for Ace. Arabella can't trust him yet, and he hasn't proven himself to Arabella.
"Follow me, and I'll get you ladies all comfy." Sabo smiles as he began to lead them to the centre, "We got lots going on. The drinks are just in the fridge over there." He gave Itami a once over, "I have a special drink for you, Itami."
Her eyes light up, "Really?"
Sabo sat Itami down and turned his back as he fished through the fridge. Arabella watched as he poured a glass of clear liquid from a jug and grabbed some sausage rolls for her to eat and drink. Sabo turns back to Itami.
"Ace got this special vodka. It's excellent." Sabo smiles.
"Gimme gimme!"
Itami took the sausage rolls and drink from Sabo. Arabella frowned at Sabo and opened her mouth to speak.
"Before you say anything," Sabo murmurs to her, "It's just water."
"Heeeeey ladies!"
Flying out of nowhere was Ace, whose black button-up shirt was wide open. His opened shirt did nothing to hide the glistening muscles on his body. It almost made Arabella ogle. But what made her confused was the lack of hickies she was supposed to see from before. Where did they go?
"How many drinks have we got left?" Kora questioned.
"Quite a bit." Ace answers.
"Very descriptive polka dot." Kora rolls her eyes.
Arabella glances at Itami, who was eyeing Ace up with a glazed look in her eye. Arabella could only think about how foolish her best friend was looking at that moment. If Itami's parents (particularly her father) found out about this, she would lose all her heir chances.
