Arabella pov
For the remainder of the afternoon, I sat anxiously in my room. Never did I think that I was projecting such a demeanour towards Sabo when I did not message him. I thought it was normal to retreat into my shell after such a huge social event. But it turns out that it is quite rude...especially towards a man you are interested in.
'If I was Valkiria, maybe then I would fully know what to do...'
However, I did wonder what exactly Sabo was planning for us tonight. Would this even be considered a date? I think it could be...I am hoping that we will be alone together. He did not exactly imply whether or not other people would be with us. But even if that were the case, then he would have mentioned to me that he is either: going to invite people, or the names of people he has invited.
Then...that must mean that this is a date....
"Damn..." I mumble to myself while I tried to study for the Chemistry quiz on Friday.
My mind wanders back to the history notes Sabo wrote for me. To be completely fair, I did not initially plan to have an impromptu appointment with Law. I really could have asked Koala to take notes...but the idea of having something personally made by Sabo for me sounded too good to be true. His class notes are always crafted well with care, paraphrasing and clear links to the Learning Objectives. They're just...simply perfect.
Standing from my desk, I walk over to the notes he had left for me in a clear folder on my bed. I remove them from the folder and found myself smiling as I stared at them.
'So nicely coded, and he even wrote summarising paragraphs for me at the end of the topic.'
I study the history notes Sabo made for me for a couple of hours. By the time I could successfully summarise and recall information by myself, I decided to change into something warmer for my date with Sabo. I changed into a lilac coloured pinafore, a cream long sleeved turtle neck, black opaque tights and the black 1461 platform docs. I accessorised with my black coat, my family amulet, a couple sets of gold rings, tear drop gold earrings with a sapphire gemstone and natural make up. I sprayed some Dior perfume on as a finalising touch, and grabbed a handbag for me to take.
By the time I was ready, it was 7:20pm. Grabbing my phone, I raced downstairs so that I could wait over by the courtyard for Sabo. Outside of the dormitory was quiet, everyone had retired to their respective dorms for their own company. The only sound I could hear was the distant owls in the surrounding forest, and the chirping of night crickets in the greenery. As I sat down at a nearby bench, I could faintly smell the woodlands along with a veil of the cool autumn air.
At home, we did have a forest surrounding our manor. Of course some wards were set up by my Mother to keep any outsiders away. My Mothers mystical powers never got passed down to my sister and I. However, I do have a stronger affinity towards it - it makes me feel connected to Mother when I am away from her. My Mother's family was one of the first houses of witches from her homeland. My Mother is often referred to as the Irina, the New Mothering Witch. Irina was her initial name before marrying my Father, Dimitri. However she assumed the name China to hide her identity to protect the family.
'Maybe I should spend some more time in the Academy forest, or in the greenhouse...Mother has always loved nature. She would love it up here.'
"I hope I didn't keep you waiting."
Sabo stood there wrapped in a royal blue coat, a white ascot, navy blue trousers and black doc martens. He carried a bag full of unknown items, which I assumed was to be revealed later on.
"No, I have only been sitting here for approximately three minutes." I respond as I stand.
Sabo pauses and I could see his eyes scanning my attire. My heart feels warm, like how it felt when Sabo showed me the water fall.
