Third pov
Kira stood alone by the punch bowl and gazed at the drunken crowd. She knew well that Marco had spiked the drinks that night. She's seen and tasted some of Marco's liquor collection, which he has hidden in his bedroom. Sometimes, she wished that Marco didn't always involve alcohol whenever they were together. Although she's interested in the guy, she barely knows anything about him. Neither does he know anything about what she's like in reality.
In all honesty, this was Kira's fifth drink, and she couldn't grasp a single haze of drunkenness. She blamed Marco for making her alcohol tolerance so high. Maybe that was why she was overthinking about everything, as alcohol made her mentally confront everything that has ever happened to her.
"You're still alive and standing."
Kira turned and noticed Roronoa Zoro stalking up to her. She remembered him from when he clashed with Arabella in P.E class from their first day in school.
"Well, it could be worse." Kira muses before she indicates to another set of bleachers, where she can see Ace and Itami doing more than just making out.
Zoro took a hearty swig from his cup, "At least they have the common decency to hide away from everyone." Zoro answers before he stares pointedly behind Kira, where she is surprised to see Sanji sitting on the bleachers above Itami and Ace, with Victoria straddling his lap and a heated make-out session.
'Huh...never thought Sanji would be Victoria's type.' Kira thought to herself.
"So, what's going on with you and Marco?"
Kira raised her eyebrows at the question. She barely talked to Roronoa. She barely knew him, either. Such a blunt question threw her off guard. She averted her stare from Zoro and silently sipped on her Mezcal spiked Pineapple punch. Marco? She was still trying to figure that one out by herself. Marco seemed to like her. Or, well, that's what she's been assuming. Yet, nothing has been done about their unspoken feelings towards each other. She knew that she liked him. But she hadn't figured out how deep their mutual feelings went. In the past, she's secretly hooked up with him on numerous occasions. She couldn't help that he was so...unavoidable. Every time she seemed to crave more than just what they had, Marco seemed to turn her down...much to Kira's disappointment.
"That is something which I have been trying to piece together." Kira answers.
"So something has happened." Zoro concluded.
Kira shrugs her shoulders in response, "Well yeah, of course. It's Marco that we are talking about."
Zoro shook his head, "Weird. Marco usually boasts a fuck tonne whenever he's fucked a girl in the past. He hasn't said anything about you."
"I'm not really sure what you're doing by asking all of these questions, Roronoa." Kira cautioned, "You trying to start something with me?"
"What? No! I'm not saying it's a bad thing. He's been acting weird as fuck. Suddenly he's been trying to...I dunno...like he's changed. He's always around you. He isn't as much of an asshole as he used to be, it's weird how nice he's become and it's started ever since you and your friends have showed up." Zoro explains.
Kira liked Marco. She has for a little while. One time her and Marco were alone in the Academy greenhouse while she was observing plants for a biology assignment. She had opened up to him about her previous activities. Her life as a criminal on the run, heartlessly murdering for the sake of her survival. Her school file also held her criminal record, which detailed all of her past assassinations as the official heir of the Allastor family. Every one of them is more gruesome than the other. She even told him about how she risked her life by joining a brothel for a year and a half just so that she could assassinate someone who challenged her family alliance.
