Arabella pov
On first period the following morning at PE class, all I could think about was how bold I was last night. About how I instinctively kissed Sabo in the cheek without even having a second thought.
'Is this how feminine protagonists feel?'
After changing into my PE clothes, I wander back inside the gym. As my eyes scanned the gym, I managed to spot the girl that served me and Sabo last night at Twilight cafe. She was standing with Kora, happily chatting away together. Kora spots me staring and gestures for me to come over.
"Moonlight, how's it going?" She greets wholeheartedly, "Have you met my cousin, Victoria? She swapped Physics for PE just today, so this is her first PE session with us."
"Yeah, we met last night actually." I say, "It is good to see you again. My name is Moonlight D Arabella."
Victoria grins, her shamrock green eyes crinkling in the corners, "Hello again! I'm Chevallier Victoria. I hope you liked the Latte. Did your date with your boyfriend go well?"
"He is not-"
"Hang on!" Kora interrupts, "Did you say boyfriend?"
"Well-"
"Yeah! She was with a tall blonde boy. I recognised him because he comes into the cafe a lot by himself. It's nice to see that he has company now." Victoria grins.
"Oh no no...We are not dating..." I finally mutter.
Kora looks at me with a surprised smirk, "Not yet anyway...So you and Sabo had a date last night, huh?" She wriggled her eyebrows, "And how did that go?"
A flash of my kiss came back to me, which instantly made me blush again. Upon seeing me react that way, Kora hollared and slapped her hand onto my shoulder.
"Something happened!" Kora cheers before looking at her cousin, "I have been trying to get these two to date, they would be so cute together! They are both nerdy, history loving cuties."
I sweat drop, "Now is not the time, it is far to early to discuss such matters."
"If it involves my boy Sabo, then anytime is a good time." She snickers.
"Sorry, my cousin can be quite cheeky." Victoria apologised.
"Oh no do not worry, my friend Itami does the same."
"Hey! That's rude!" Kora whines.
Victoria's giggles broke into laughter as Kora repeatedly whined over being teased. As Victoria continued to laugh, my mind draw an imaginary line. That line separated me from them, as if something about them was untouchable. Maybe it's their relationship? Or is it just me wanting to detach myself from reality again? The line almost feels like it is stretching, like it is forcibly pushing me away from them as I feel like caving within myself-
"You're so mean to me, Ara!"
"It may be the truth, but right now this full truth is amusing to me."
"Valkiria..."
"Arabella?"
Releasing a breath I did not realise I was holding, the line snapped. It snapped me back into reality and back into where my mind should be.
My vision focuses back into the situation. Both Kora and Victoria were staring at me with concern. But what I did not notice was the fact that Sabo was standing right next to me, and that he was the one that called my name.
