Flashback

I walk through the glass doors labeled BAU, confidently, once I reach the bullpen. I recognize Agent Hotchner and approach him, "Agent Hotchner, it's pleasure to finally meet you in person" I stick out my hand for a handshake.

"The pleasure is all mine, Agent Y/L/N." He reciprocates the handshake. He was intimidating, but not so much that I couldn't handle it. We make our way to the bullpen's center, where I assume the rest of the team has gathered.

"Everyone, this is Y/N Y/L/N, she is our newest member, so please make her feel at ease," I give them a small awkward wave.

"These are Agents Prentiss, Jareau, Morgan, Rossi, Dr. Reid, and this is our technical analyst Penelope Garcia" I was drawn to Penelope's colorfulness, she was so cute. I go around shaking everyone's hands starting with Penelope, who inside of a handshake decided to pull me into a hug.

I get to the last person, who is Dr. Reid, who has a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other. As I hold out my hand he looks me up and down, "I don't shake hands" he says matter- a- factly. I narrow my eyes slightly, clearly, he's trying to challenge me. I've encountered many people like Dr. Reid. Know-it-alls, who think they're better than everyone. I lived with one for god's sake, and I'm not one to play games, but antagonizing him is going to be so much fun.

I turn on my heels and walk to my desk who's was right across from Dr. Reid. How amazing, I know!

"Reid Can show you the ropes" I smile drop a little, luckily Hotch didn't notice.

Someone was calling my name, but I couldn't hear them because everything was so hazy. I had no recollection of anything. I couldn't even move. I slowly opened my eyes, and then everything came back to me.

I was no longer hanging from the ceiling but now tied to a chair, with my shirt unbuttoned revealing my bra. At first, I didn't feel anything, then it all came flooding, every ounce of pain, hitting me like a freight train.

There were cuts all along my stomach and from what I could feel there was dried blood under my nose.

"Y/n?" His voice was all raspy.

"Mhm," I responded, I was too weak to lift my head.

"Are you okay?"

Before I could answer his question the man came back into the room, with what seemed to be a bottle of vodka.

God, I'd kill for a drink right about now.

"How about round 2?" He grins sickly.

He kneels in front of me, opens the bottle, and takes a large gulp before pouring it down my wounds. I scream in agony as the alcohol flows down my wounds.

"Please" I pleaded.

Reid averts his gaze, refusing to look at me.

"What was that?" He grabs me forcefully by my hair, making me look up at him.

Several beatings later, Reid and I were alone again.

"Y/n, you can't keep doing this" He whispered.

"I'm fine" I clutch my stomach, as I try to prop myself up, "Why does it matter anyways, you hate me"

"I don't hate you," he says in a gentle tone.

I chuckle lightly, "You don't need to lie to make me feel better,"

"Why are you doing this"

"Because the team needs their resident genius unscathed"

If anyone was going to make out alive it was Reid, that's why I was doing this. The team needs him. I made a deal with the guy that I'd tell him everything thing he wants to know, as long as he doesn't hurt Reid, and so far he's held up his end of the bargain.

Or so I thought.

Two men barged in grabbing Reid and untying him from the chains. Everything was happening so fast
I barely knew what was going on.

"What are you doing to him? Leave him alone! You promised!" I croaked.

I felt someone come up behind me and inject me with something, I tried to wither from his grasp, but I was too weak.

One of the men caught Reid and yanked him down to the ground. Reid was mumbling, but I couldn't understand what he was saying because my ears were ringing. As I fell on my side, my entire body went numb, and my cheek landed on the cold, dirty concrete.

I laid there watching as they drew a pistol and shot Spencer. I wanted to scream and sob, but I couldn't; I couldn't feel anything except the blood splattered over my face. I saw the light disappear from his eyes as his dead body lay next to me.

And I couldn't do anything to stop it.

I watched as they dragged his lifeless body out of the room.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I mumbled. It's like my whole body stopped functioning. I could hear the loud ruckus in the background, but it was all muffled, kind of like if I was listening through a cup. I felt a kick in my back, but I didn't react, it didn't bother me.
