Evening Time
Veer's POV
I went home early because I am taking Aadhya out for shopping. I sent a maid to her room, to call her downstairs, meanwhile I got an important call and I came out to attend it. It last for 10 minutes and when I turned to get inside, I saw her figure coming out, wearing a simple long kurti with pair of leggings, her hair tied into a ponytail.
What the heck! Who asked her to look so plain, she's a newly married bride?
I took long strides towards her and without exchanging any words I grabbed her from elbow and took her near to my car when her back touched the car, I placed my arms on either side in order to block her every way to escape.
Her face holding no emotions which made her look confident, she held her head high in a courageous way but still not maintaining eye contact with me and tilted it to some angle eyeing the things around me but not me. I moved my face closer to her and stopped when I was few inches away from her ear.
"What you think you are? Huh...."
I tried to intimate her by almost closing the distance between us and fanning hair on her ear with my breathing.
But she is acting indifferent or I could say weird from her usual sweet and scared self.
Oh, so my kitten got her claws. No doubt, she's looking serene and cute even in her feisty self. But this calmness has traces of annoyance in it.
She is looking hot in her new feisty look, head high, nose twitched, face void of emotions with stubbornness hidden somewhere and arms crossed across her stomach.
My actions were affecting her, but she is still composing her balanced emotions with an unaffected look on her face. It's the very first time I am trying to allure her, but all my efforts proved futile. I know I deserve this, but I can't let my guards down. Because I have power to go contrary and that's how things are expected from my end.
End of Veer's POV
"Aa-" Veer tried to speak but Aadhya cut him off.
"Enough!"
She breathed a sigh of impatience and prepared herself for something surprising and stepped aside, still being sandwiched in between his arms and placed her index finger on his stomach while giving him a "how dare you" kind of look. Her facial expressions were replaced by that of furiousness, eyes narrowed, eyebrows lowered forming V with creased skin of her forehead and nostrils flaring.
"I think you need to polish your brain cells, Mr. Chaudhary."
She pressed her finger more into his stomach and took a step forward pressing his shoe covered toes under her sandal soles, which made him took a step back.
"Well, Mr. Veer Singh Chaudhary you should ask this from yourself but no worries I will remind you on who I am."
"I am the one with whom you took your marriage vows which made me your wife, Mrs. Aadhya Veer Singh Chaudhary."
She took one more step making him step back again and remove his arms from her sides. He was looking her with his eyes open wide, but she's rooted to her ground, unaffected by any of his tantrums. She had enough of them.
She took a step back and again crossed her arms on her chest and continued with her lecture. If any brave soul had given him a reality check in past, then she doesn't need to teach lessons to this big arrogant student.
"Now, comes my turn. You tell me who you think you are?"
He was too awestruck by her sudden outburst. Rather than throwing hard looks her way for her choice of words, he was gawking at her admiring her facial features which are gracing her brave look.
"Oh sorry!! I forgot; you are not answerable to anyone." His lack of reaction didn't stop her from blabbering, she herself start answering those questions.
"Why so? Because you are 'The Veer Sarkar, head of Sirayat'." She intentionally air quoted his name, expecting his cold reactions for exaggerating the whole thing because his silence was unsatisfactory. And her little action worked out, his sanity gets back to living and he clenched his jaw but our unaware Aadhya went too far to hurt his ego.
"Again, no worries, I will answer this from your side." She continued.
"You think you are the Almighty, who is always right. But this time you are wrong." She ended her whole scolding session by returning her index finger back to his chest, his closeness made her realise about his changed cold demeanour, but she is not thinking rational anymore as her very next action proved my point.
"Why are you clenching your teeth? Huh??" These words left her mouth while she was holding his jaw, making him give a pouting pose, eyes locked, and they stayed in same position for few seconds.
Aadhya's brain sent her alert signals, she gets back to her senses and flinched back as a reflex on examining the intensity of her actions and what would be its repercussions. And the very next moment she switched back from being tipsy to being innocent with doe eyes and puppy like cute face.
"Are you angry?" It comes more as a plead with a hushed and barely audible voice.
"Before choosing your next words, keep in mind you are the one who insulted my outfit this morning."
She acted brave again or I say half cried while pointing her finger to his side whereas on other end her courageous composure, weird actions and mood swing was not more a amusing comic for him, which he picked from some corner of a magazine and its hilarious affect ended when he fliped to another page.
If he wants, he could do things right now and eventually he's going to win, its inevitable because we all know who's the King. Then why isn't he doing the expected?
Who knows he might have accepted his defeat this time, might be some of you know and the luck ones have experienced that most of the times men don't confess but gradually work to mend their mistake? He did the same.
He took her hand in his and dragged her inside. She didn't resist instead tried to match with his speed. He took her upstairs to their room.
"Go and get dressed in your black dress." He impatiently ordered, his eyes intentionally avoiding hers as couldn't believe his own words.
"No" Here comes her stubborn denial and the war began.
"Go" He repeated himself while maintaining his casual self with his hands in his trouser pockets making him more handsome than his usual self.
"No" This is like our tigress. I am proud of her.
"I said Go" His tone got bit harder.
"I said No" But her determination wasn't so light weighted that it could be blown off this easily. She's trying hard but Veer being Veer; King of Manipulation. How could a mere innocent beauty win over a ruthless and clever Mafia King?
He's expression changed to something unreadable, dark and a he smirked creepily.
"Then let me do the honor for you." Here he hit the six, achieving victory from a nearly tie match. A real Game Changer.
I promise to change you for yourself, for me, for us.
His biggest weapon is his power while hers is her innocence.
Power could only win fear whereas innocence could steal hearts.
Its Water against Fire,
Love against Fear.
Who will win?
Hey Cuties!
Next chapter will be of Aadhya's POV.
