Refreshing cold winds kissed Aadhya's closed eyes, making her stir in her sleep and awakening her from her deep sleep. A similar ceiling came into her view, reminding her of the trip, the marriage, and her not-so-sweet husband. But his recent behaviour and romantic actions were carving a new figure of him in her heart. The gentle, considerate, sweet, friendly, and most importantly, loving, with an entirely different personality from the person he was on his wedding day.

Her eyes immediately shifted to the other side of the bed, but he wasn't there as expected. She noticed his t-shirt was lying on the foot of the bed. She wasted no time picking it up and hugged it close to her heart, crushing it tightly and in a lovable manner. After ages, when she quits dreaming of her husband, her eyes fall on the sticky note on the dressing mirror. She got up. Her eyes fell on other stickies pasted randomly here and there in the room and the rose petals scattered all over the floor.

"I am going for a meeting. Get ready in the evening. I have a surprise for you."

The other stickies have arrows directing from one to the other, she started following them, and they led her to a small box placed on the table on the balcony. She opened it and found a beautiful constellation pendant.

"Isse tabb pehna

Jab tumhe mujse khud se zyada yakeen hone lagge

Aur agar ek var pehn leya, toh kabhi utarne ka khayal bhi mat lana"

(Wear it when you start trusting me more than yourself and don't even think of removing it then)

Aadhya's POV

My heart started beating at a rapid rate. His words reflected his sincerity and convinced me that we were now a step ahead in our relationship. This reality is much better than my dreams. His affection is not enslaved anymore. His cold and ruthless self doesn't overpower his charm. It melted the last hedges around my heart, making me take a step into the boat of insane love. It's more than a mere likeness. It has taken a new form that compels my heart to bound him in my lifetime LOVE. Yeah, Love! My feelings towards him are changed to infinite likeness, which ultimately goes to the path of immense love.

I finished wearing my last piece of jewelry, my earring. My hands eventually find their way to the lovely pendant gifted by my husband, which is now adorning my beauty. I saw myself in the mirror one last time before leaving my room for our date, and by the time I got to the lobby area, I heard the ringtone of the landline phone. I picked it up without letting it ring for another second. Then, finally, his gentle voice reached my ears.

"Ready?"

"Yeah!"

"Driver will be there any moment."

Oh! So, he is not coming himself. Instead, sending a driver to pick up his newly wedded wife.

"Driver?"

I asked to confirm, voicing my disappointment questionably. At least he should know I don't like it. I put so much effort into getting ready on his single note, and he didn't even come to pick me up.

"What happened, sweetheart? Want me to pick you?"

Of course, my darling husband, I didn't dare say that aloud. I don't want to throw tantrums right when our relationship is at a crucial stage where love flowers have just begun to blossom.

"Yeah! I mean, No, it's fine with me."

"I will wait for you, bye."

You should, Mister.
