Aadhya's POV:

We went to one of biggest malls of Kolkata and he gave me his master card. He accompanied me inside the mall but was busy on phone all the time and waited outside of the shops with his guards. The mall seems almost empty only a few people roaming around, might be they were informed about our visit.

I bought few comfy outfits, dresses, footwear and some other stuff. I am not that kind of person who would spend hours deciding which one is best, in fact shopping is not my cup of coffee, my mom used to do my shopping and her choice was my choice.

It took me around an hour to buy all my stuff and then we return.

End of her POV

Aadhya was busy arranging her new clothing in wardrobe while Veer was lying on bed, mischievously smiling with his left arm folded under his head, legs crossed and right hand resting on left side of his chest, fingers tapping that area as if he was eagerly waiting for something.

Aadhya, who was unaware of his naughty planning, went straight to washroom to freshen up before retiring to sleep but when she returned with a fluffy duvet in her hands, she couldn't find the sofa where she slept last night, we all know who would be behind the kidnap of her comfy grey-colored sofa, she reached the same outcome and diverted her attention to him (the sofa kidnapper).

Veer was watching television with room lights off and him laying on middle of bed under the covers or we could say pretending to be busy and trying to hide his impish look.

Aadhya was continuously staring at him without giving words to her inner frustration and he intentionally ignored her, making it an unnoticed act but how long could he ignore his innocent angel.

"Veer-"

Veer knew where it's going so before she could complaint, he interrupts her and started with his "I don't know" mantra.

"Huh" He gave her his whole attention, tilting his body towards her and maintained an eye contact with her as if waiting for reason of intrusion. He is aware of what he's doing, after all he is master of manipulation.

His simple action makes a dangerous combination with his facial expressions which change with the demand of the instant situation, it always falls in his favor by making the situation look more intense, giving him a triumph card of becoming the dominant king every time.

"Oh, it's your side" He crawled to his side of bed and unfolded duvet from her side, offering her to get in. She was dumbfounded as if still processing his words, her gaze shifting between him and the space he offered.

"What? Come fast" His words broke her chain of thoughts and without giving it a second thought she placed the duvet in one of the nearby cabinets and sat beside him but with her back towards him and laid there in the corner.

Veer switched off the television and slept.

At 11pm:

Aadhya was tossing and turning, sleep was nowhere around her. She tried to sleep but this place is new for her and it's her second night here, she still needs time to adjust to her new surrounding and has no idea how long they will stay here.

She heard mild thundering noise and immediately covered her face with duvet. Since her childhood, she is scared of thunderstorms, she slept with her mother whenever the weather was turbulent but what to do now? The weird thing was there is no commotion noise coming through the window.

How could there be any commotion when there's no storm outside, all credit goes to the cruel monster lying beside her whose right hand was under the covers on his phone, controlling the music system in their bedroom which made this apparent storm. But how would Aadhya comes to know? Her fear took over her rational thinking and she considered it to be real.

Each upcoming thunderclap is louder and stormier than the previous one and she drag herself to middle of bed with each passing scream of her scary storm. Her movement halted when she felt his strong and muscular chest touching her back, she took a sigh of relief when she no longer hears any thundering, assuming it's over. She wants to move back to her previous position but is way too scared to make any move.

Veer's lips curved into a devilish smug, he carefully moved his arm for remote control and once he found it, he pressed the final button of volume and hide it under his pillow. Then a loud thundering echoed the whole room, it was so loud that it vibrated the glass of windows surrounding. She screamed and turned to tightly squeeze his husband in her arms.

Veer's POV

I wrapped my arm around my beautiful wife when she was in deep slumber while my other hand was under my head. This evening me and Kabir were talking about weather these days when I suddenly remember once Baba Sahib's was talking about how his granddaughter fears thunderstorms, I wasn't sure if he was talking about Aadhya, so I just played the audio to clarify if its her but the way she reacted made me drop the idea of pausing the thundering audio.

Indeed, she is my angel, only mine?

Her smile, her shyness, her fears and her cries all are meant for me, I am kind of obsessed with her innocence, but I can't preserve it for long, it has no place in my world. She must leave her innocence behind, there's no other option.

Yes, she will.

But it would be painful, for her, for me because then we wouldn't be the same.
