Bite My Tongue

I know to bite my tongue
When I speak

I know I have something to say
And I know how to say it

I also know that as soon as I speak
I will lose confidence

I know the thoughts that will come
Telling me that what I'm saying is stupid

So I slow down
Stutter, than stop

And now everyone will look me as
The weirdo who never finishes his s-

Never mind, I should have just
Bit my tongue
